Winner of Track 11: The End Is Here (One Day Remains)

I'll include a very reasonable hint that Jim posted three years ago: PLEASE DO NOT VOTE "THE LAST HERO" SONGS JUST BECAUSE THEY'RE FRESH IN YOUR MEMORY. PLEASE CONSIDER ALL SONGS AND HOW MUCH YOU LOVED THEM WHEN YOU FIRST HEARD THEM. TAKE YOUR TIME VOTING.

Island Of Fools is the clear winner for me. Fortress is great, but it's not as good as their other epics because it doesn't feel like a real "song" to me, more like three amazing parts stuck together, and the chorus is not phenomenal. IOF, however, has one of the best choruses ever written by AB and just kicks ass. Coeur d'Alene and White Knuckles are probably tied for the third place, can't really decide which one is better there.

Now THIS was a toughie! Obviously Save Me is out - but it really could've been any of the others. Always held a candle for Coeur d'Alene so going with that.

This one is tough, primarily it's between Island of Fools and Fortress. Think I'm gonna go with Fortress.

Hard one... Fortress or Fools for sure though. Need some time to think about that one haha!

Kinda sucks that the really good TLH songs are up against some of my favorite songs.. Fortress wins this one for me.

Another toughy here. But I am gonna have to go with Island of Fools. Fortress is great and everything, but has just never really hooked. Coeur d'Alene is amazing, and nearly got my vote. But IoF is just epic in every way!

Fortress has been one of my favourites ever since I first heard it (probably in my top 5), but IoF is swaying me now... I also have a lot of love for Coeur d'Alene. I'll decide later.

Holy hell this one is HARD. Uhhhhhhhh White Knuckles vs Fortress vs Island of Fools..... Hm.

I will say I'm surprised at the lack of vote for White Knuckles so far though. To me that's one of their best, most classic songs. Still though, the competition is fierce for this one.

White Knuckles for me, any day of the week against 95% of their songs. Amazing song

Ahhhhhhh, so many great songs, and then "Save Me". Had to go with Island of Fools, though I could see it going to Fortress or Coeur d'Alene depending on my mood. White Knuckles is only slightly behind those 3, but would win against many of the other songs that have won. Save Me is just not a good song.

There's nothing special about the music that stands out, and I particularly just dislike the vocal melody (verse, chorus, and bridge). It just doesn't do anything for me at all.

I actually, really really dislike the bridge.

Oh boy... currently my vote stands as the tiebreaker.

I will say this: I love the epicness of Fortress, but do find the prog. rock to be a little disjointed in this one compared to some of their other songs. Not very in love with the chorus.

Island of Fools is probably the better song for me, but doesn't stand as much as an "epic." It nearly grazes it, but I still think it's missing a true final chorus. After making an audio edit for it once, I think it reaches that status and therefore guarantees it as a better song for me... but that's not the official version nor is it the one I will base it on.

I think I'm going to have to go with Island of Fools, but it's just too bad we can't have both.

Was dreading this choice, between what are currently my two favourite Alter Bridge songs. It's Fortress because that melodic bridge is everything, but voting against Island of Fools is painful.

So painful that I screwed up and voted for it accidentally, the massive idiot that I am.

Coeur D'Alene the easy third favourite, such a good song. White Knuckles some way beneath that and Save Me loitering in the car park.

White Knuckles for me would probably win in any other competition when it comes to the heavier songs. But I can't vote against Fortress.
