Mr. Slash wrote:Being a support band for Stone Sour is kinda weird tho. I always considered AB being as popular as Stone Sour. Well maybe only in Europe.
Stone Sour is fairly big here in the states. They headlined a one-day radio festival in Dallas, Texas that had Three Days Grace, Papa Roach, Skillet, The Pretty Reckless, Starset, and Fozzy on the bill. If AB was on that line-up, they would arguably be behind 3DG and P. Roach. One could actually make the argument that they would be behind Skillet and The Pretty Reckless, as well, and Fozzy's new song Judas has been getting quite a big buzz, having their music video having 7 million views on Youtube after three months. AB doesn't get too much love when it comes to festival positioning or radio support in the States.

I mean if Stone Sour and AB does a tour together in the states, AB would be placed before Stone Sour either as a co-headliner or a supporting band (more likely co-headlining than straight up support like AB did with Disturbed and Breaking Benjamin back in 2016). Song #3, along with other Stone Sour singles, gets blasted pretty regularly on the Active Rock radio station I hear and I don't think I have ever heard AB on that station and the radio format on the station I hear was made for a band like AB.

Probably not in the US. I've seen Stone Sour play main support to the headliner at Rock on the Range before. AB doesn't get spots like that here so much.

So Skillet is opening, and its either a coheadlining situation or Stone Sour is just the headliner. Was honestly surprised to see that Skillet is opening. Wasnt sure up until an hour ago because the fair website was so unclear with the order of the bands.

Does anyone know the opener (if there is one) in Columbus tomorrow?

Any leaks or speculation on the supposed U.S. dates in November?

I don't know, but Gbruin, we could get lucky based on one notion. They have yet to play Spokane, Washington for a headlining show and they haven't missed playing in that area yet in the band's lifespan. So if they play in Spokane, they may play in Colorado or end up back in SoCal. Here's to hoping.

Myles seriously sounded the best tonight of the last two shows I've been to. Blackbird gave me goosebumps like never before, especially with life being the way its been lately, it was a cathartic experience. A good amount of people actually left after AB, at least around where I was seated. Great show! Stone Sour is superb live as well, Corey is a crazy fucker!

Glad you had a good time! I debated making the drive up for that one, but it was kinda difficult to do on a Tuesday evening.

It was tough for me too, I drove in from Pittsburgh to see the show, didn't get home until 2am and was at work at 8:30 this morning! Totally worth it though!

Ha, sounds like a fun commute! Maybe I'm not a dedicated fan. :lol

I've seen them 4 times now but I still haven't been to a show where they headline and play a full set...

That sucks. I have only seen partial sets twice in my six shows, and I hate them, lol.

Hopefully they have one more US run. They normally headline St Louis, and although they played here twice this run, they were both support.

They've only played in my state once as far as I knew of. Which I'm not complaining, it's a small market so I get it. But they usually end up playing in the states around me on weekdays and I haven't been able to pull it off yet.

Well, Flip rarely says anything on social media, but he decided to share this picture of him with Garrett Whitlock and John Fred Young (Black Stone Cherry's Drummer) and a guy that I do not recognize.

Image

Apparently, AB was playing a show in Montana with BSC on the same bill and I looked at the schedule times and was quite surprised.

Image

With the exception of Hell's Belles, which is apparently a female AC/DC tribute band, it's nice to see AB and BSC get the very top main stage billing at a festival, even if it is at a small market like Montana. No other rock festival, with the exception of maybe Download in the future, will have both AB and BSC on the very top main stage billing.

Bad news, guys.

It will probably take a while longer if we are going to hear any news about a end-of-the year US tour, but they better announce it soon.

I'm hopeful. But they have a lot on their plate this fall.
