Re: 2017 U.S. headline tour...........
... They played that a half-step higher than the album. What? Haha.
Re: 2017 U.S. headline tour...........
WOW. Did not expect them to pull that one out. So cool to see them playing it after all these years. Looks like they haven't done it since 2011! I'm struck by how much Myles has refined his control over his voice over the last 6 years.
You've got to wonder whether they're commenting on the news, seeing as it's looking like we might be seeing the beginning of the end for Trump.
Also kind of ominous that Chris Cornell passed away shortly thereafter.
Songs like this really highlight the tonal gap left by Mark's abandonment of a clean channel, but of course that all disappeared once the heaviness arrived.

Just thinking, that would sound so good with an orchestra! Do London Bridge as the intro, makes sense bc they'd be in London....
Thanks Timo!
Re: 2017 U.S. headline tour...........
Myles joked about messing up the second verse and asked if we'd like that added in the set. He also promised to get it right next time.
Re: 2017 U.S. headline tour...........
Kinda sad to see that Myles struggles so much singing his own songs. On the other hand, he still pulled it off pretty well. Furthermore it's so weird to see Myles without a guitar on stage.
Re: 2017 U.S. headline tour...........
Seems like this hasn't been posted yet. Myles and Mark giving some unplugged set.

Whoever said that Myles is awkward when talking to the crowd, here is the objection.

That's exactly what I was talking about. Awesome find! When I saw them in Tulsa last year, he said the smell of cow shit (it was a Fair show) made him think of cleaning his step dad's horse stalls and earning money for that first guitar. So it's full circle that he's here playing a rock show and smelling it, lol. He told a funny Sammy Hagar story one night in St. Louis as well. Never know what he'll say, and I love it.

LOL – he's made fun of his high vocal range a few times lately. I think it was in Boston when he commented about how sorry he felt for the folks up on the side balconies right under the PA speakers due to his high singing.

He cracked a joke that every dog in Philadelphia was running away from the venue.abw1987 wrote:LOL – he's made fun of his high vocal range a few times lately. Re: 2017 U.S. headline tour...........
I love how much more comfortable Myles has become just chatting with the crowd between songs than he was early on during BB and III tours. He laughs and says he's a dork, but the crowd always loves those moments where Myles is just himself and lets down the rock star front for a bit. Maybe it doesn't fit with big festivals as easily, but it works great at AB shows.
Another photobucket casualty...

Oh yeah, this has been announced for a while. They are playing at Columbus, Ohio at the Newport Music Hall on August 8th. Andy, that's kinda close to where you are. You think you would be making the drive?

I did think about that one. I'm not sure yet if I'll make the trip or not since I was just in Columbus for ROTR. It's been on my radar though, thanks for mentioning it in here.anguyen92 wrote:Oh yeah, this has been announced for a while. Re: 2017 U.S. headline tour...........
Well, they are back to touring for a brief while right now.
7 shows in the midwest US area. Six of those are basically county fair-like shows and one regular indoor show. I don't expect them to play anything out of the norm for those shows.

Re: 2017 U.S. headline tour...........
No. I was at a fair show last October. They shortened the set by a song or two, and played the normal stuff.
That said, I fist bumped Myles, and took a pick from Mark's hand. So I have to say it was the most fun I ever had at one of thier shows.

Re: 2017 U.S. headline tour...........
I took a look at that billing. Stone Sour, Skillet, and AB. I always would not want to see AB play in a support slot at any kind of show, but with those three bands, it's not always the worst thing in the world if AB was the supporting band in that show.austinjhnsn wrote:Going to see them and Stone Sour this monday; have never seen Stone Sour so Im pretty stoked!

Re: 2017 U.S. headline tour...........
Being a support band for Stone Sour is kinda weird tho. I always considered AB being as popular as Stone Sour. Well maybe only in Europe.
