Favourite Song from The Last Hero

Since we're now getting opinions on people's favourite songs from The Last Hero, this thread is to vote for your single favourite song on the album. There is already another thread to vote for your top few songs, so this one is a poll for only your favourite song so far. You can list as many as you want and explain yourself in the thread, but in this thread you get to vote for one song, no ifs ands or buts.

I know it's tough to decide a single song only, so bear in mind this will hopefully just give an initial idea of people's favourites in the first week (or after a few weeks for some people I'm sure). You don't have to wait to vote until you are committed to a choice for life.

Was torn between that and Island Of Fools or The Last Hero, but I'm a sucker for a good chorus. And Champion wins that category easily among the 3 songs

This Side Of Fate, I just love it and when I was listening the album for the first time I felt something really really special at the calm part before the solo, so for me is the best song.

I had to pick This Side of Fate, though I could definitely see it switching places with Island of Fools depending on my mood. It's still too soon for me to say for sure, but those are both potentially top 5 AB songs ever for me.

I can't really decide. I remember the first time I heard Island of Fools I couldn't get that smile of my face for the whole day. So that's the winner for now.

The Last Hero.

From my first listen I thought 'This is AB top 10 worthy' and unlike what most seem to think here I actually really like the chorus. The only part I'm less keen on is the Cry of Achilles ending rip off.

This Side of Fate is a close second but I think it loses it a little in the last minute.

The Last Hero is one of the best tracks they've ever done in my opinion. Both solos are perfect.

And the last seconds of the song are absolutely brilliant, too. This song is just so special and perfect, I think it's my second favorite AB song together witch CoA, right behind Blackbird.

I'm not even sure it's close. It's The Last Hero for me. Even though I think it's about someone I don't care for. Structurally it's brilliant. I love Myles vocals on it. I love the solos. The heaviest part of the album comes right after Myles' solo. It's what I've known AB has been capable of for some while. It's simply an amazing song. The whole album is amazing.

It's really only between that and This Side Of Fate. But I just think the overall writing is better in The Last Hero.

I had to go with You Will Be Remembered.... I know the lyrics are corny and all, but it is all about the melody for me. That song could be about washing dishes and I would still pick it as #1. If they play it live, I can't wait to see how they work out the singing in the pre-chorus and chorus. I hope Mark does the whole "we will sing" part throughout.

Close behind would be Breathe and Island Of Fools tied at 2, and then Poison at #3.

I decided to vote for The Other Side as it is one of the best songs and possibly the fastest for me to really get to appreciate, but it's a bit of a placeholder vote right now. It's fair to say it was my single favourite song after one listen or two, but I expect I will eventually settle on The Last Hero, Island Of Fools, or This Side Of Fate. Trouble is I am struggling to decide which is my favourite of those.
