Pretty laid back interview. Not a whole lot of new information. It's from the perspective of a health/wellness organization, so some interesting stuff on that front.
I thought Brian's comment on his off year was pretty interesting. He loves it, because he can spend time with his kid.

Something to take note of that is they want to play the new single as soon as possible but they need to soundcheck first. I guess they don't soundcheck on this tour

They soundcheck, but don't really have time to get into practicing the song.

It makes me really think on how much difference is there on how long they can soundcheck for their own shows compared to when they are the opening act or playing a festival.Timotheus wrote:They soundcheck, but don't really have time to get into practicing the song.

Re: The Last Hero - Interviews and Youtube Videos
I can tell you that what they have allowed VIPs into sound check for alone seemed to be longer than what they sound checked yesterday. we were shocked at how short it seemed. I can't even really guess how long it was, but it was surprising short. we heard some tinkering around on instruments and not much more.anguyen92 wrote:It makes me really think on how much difference is there on how long they can soundcheck for their own shows compared to when they are the opening act or playing a festival.Timotheus wrote:They soundcheck, but don't really have time to get into practicing the song.

I didn't know Brian had such a thick southern accent.

Show me a Leader is played with a 7-String? Guess I won't learn this song then. Feels Bad Man.

New interview. Mark talks about touring in Canada and the new album. Says it's more complex, layered, and progressive than anything before.

Super insightful. Just a bunch of musicians talking about their craft together.

Thanks! Always like the Jasta stuff, he's so brutally honest and sharp. Guess we'll hear a lot of Rise on the next record haha!
Re: The Last Hero - Interviews and Youtube Videos
Absolutely loved that Jasta interview. It's not often we get an hour-long conversation with the guys. I'm gonna post this to our Facebook page.

Re: The Last Hero - Interviews and Youtube Videos
That's a fantastic interview indeed. I found it especially interesting that Mark said they would've stopped making music already if it was not for Europe because the fans over here are way more loyal than in America. Didn't know there was such a huge difference.

Re: The Last Hero - Interviews and Youtube Videos
^^ Depends how you gauged loyalty. Us AB fans in the states, we may be a small bunch, but we are a prideful bunch that loves this band as much as any other fans in the world are. It just that there's not enough of us that can get AB in a position to headline in arenas and high-end music halls in the states like in Europe, but the enthusiasm for this band is still strong here.

Re: The Last Hero - Interviews and Youtube Videos
I have to concur with u guys that podcast was really interesting so many things i wouldn't have known about beforehand.Always fascinated about Myles talking about his voice and how he preserves it and how something as simple as Mark's rig set up changed his delivery
Re: The Last Hero - Interviews and Youtube Videos
Who was singing the backing vocals in the chorus? Totally doesn't sound like Mark.antiwal wrote:There's live version of SMAL now on youtube (courtesy of the AB Nation Facebook page)!!
