Concert Review*

Opened with Come to Life--- damn it was good. Myles and Mark are so good together. They seemed to really enjoy themselves.

Watch Over you was played standing up acoustically. Crowd sang the whole song with Myles.

Crowd cheered after every song so loudly! Band had to pause after every song until the crowd stopped lol

Myles sounded great on vocals... I mean he really sounded like 2008 all over again. He let it all go.

Awesome to hear about the concert review, I'm looking forward to seeing them whenever I can.

But the album, shit... That's not what I was expecting. Hopefully you'll feel differently once you have some HD headphones to listen to it through.

Aw man, that's a bummer for the first listen through.

Already representing the new album hype on another forum by changing my profile pic to the album cover, my title to The Last Hero and my location to Island of Fools. :D

Its a great album don't get me wrong. Perhaps where I was wasn't great but I wasn't quite wowed like I thought I would be. But my legs and back were killing me so that probably played a factor into it lol

Agreed. Nice to hear he's revisiting the higher register. Which is funny because in a 2013 Fortress interview he said he was "tired of singing high shit" guess he's not tired anymore. :D

Don't feel bad, 3PO. I liked Fortress. It took me a few listens to love it.

that doesn't sound too promising.

C392, if I'm a guy who typically doesn't like the shorter heavy songs (Farther than the sun, Cry a Rivuh, Uninvited, Isolation, Peace is Broken type of songs) you think I'll dig it?

I figure you kinda like the heavier stuff and you say its meh, so maybe it may cater a little more to my style

I enjoy the heavier stuff for sure. But it was one heavy song after another and after awhile it blended in together. There isn't a ballad or soft song on this album. Its gonna take a few listens to separate em.

Theres something in this album for everyone. Most of the album.. if not all the songs are over 4 minutes. I think the 2nd song was the shortest if I'm not mistaken.

:(

btw, why are they trying to write epic songs, when they fail with it? Fortress felt already pretty forced to me, now you say that the upcoming album has a lame epic song aswell.

Fortress is one of my favorite AB songs, so I don't mind another "epic" song.

Though I'd love it if it's not in 6/8. Can somebody remember the time signature of This Side of Fate?

Fortress (song) is a masterpiece in my book, love everything about it and love the 'musical' story it tells.

There isn't a BB, Fortress, COA on this album. Yeah one song reaches 6 something minutes but I didn't get that epic vibe. But again... one listen deep

For someone who spent $250 to be there; you seem awfully disappointed
