They say so often how much music means to them in their lives that I'm pretty sure they'll continue to do Alter Bridge for many years to come.

Well, that's certainly a fitting name, because I feel like this album is probably their last chance to gain any traction in terms of attaining new fans that has never heard of AB before.

Quote from Myles about the title:

One of the reasons we went with that title was that a lot of the themes on The Last Hero evolve around the hero concept and the need for heroes in our society and bleeders and what we do to our leaders and heroes or role models and how we tend to build them up, tear them down. Also, there's a song, actually one of Brian favorite songs, that pays tribute to heroes, whether it's someone who serves the country, serve the community. So yea, that theme runs throughout quite a bit of the record and that's why we thought that title would bring it together.

Even if there's going to be a listening party in a few hours with lots of more information about the album to follow after reviews and such; Here's what I gathered from that small Q&A

-"Show Me A Leader" song title
-"This Side of Fate" song title
- Two 6.5 minute songs, the rest are above 4 mins minimum with more 5 min songs than usual
- 3 new tunings used on the record
- 7 string guitar
- acoustic guitars in the mix but not as prominent or singled out.
- No Mark lead vocals, lots of harmonies though
- October 6th/7th release date

I sent them a question of weather or not there with be tradeoff solos like in CoA or FttS. But I didn't get in there until the last two questions, so we won't know until the listening party.

We should feel special, we know more than the LP people for a few minutes.
