More like Cry a River.Raven wrote:Im surprised no1 has brought up how similar the opening riff of Poison sounds so much like White knuckles
Re: Official "The Last Hero" Thread
I really don't know if I should listen to the 2 new songs. I mean, 4 songs are nearly a third of the new album...
Re: Official "The Last Hero" Thread
It does remind me of something from their catalogue, like most songs I've heard so far on TLH, to be honest, and that's precisely what I don't like.Raven wrote:Im surprised no1 has brought up how similar the opening riff of Poison sounds so much like White knuckles
Re: Official "The Last Hero" Thread
some do. some don't. too much generalisation on my part. sorry for that. my bad !

Obvious, sarcasm was obvious, and probably a bit too telling.chtimixeur wrote:I have a feeling you will.Lotha wrote:Okay, the way it seems right now, I won't hear anything new and fresh and wow on this album.

Sounds different to "higher ground" to me, but can't work out what he's saying. Hollow?SHEAKENBAKEN wrote: Poison In Your Veins Lyrics
How long will you cower down
Until you come to see
That courage is the higher ground
That change is destiny
The holy wars
You dare to win
Without fear and no remorse
The time has come to rise again
You were meant to be much more
Somehow
Somehow
"That changes destiny
That only those who dare to win
Let no fear have no remorse"
For all of the hope that it brings...

Can we confirm that the band's record labels are the reason that we can't get the same songs in the US? I'm really bummed that we get left out like this but I'm not gonna bitch about it if it's out of the band's control.

I don't get White Knuckles as much... to me it sounds like a lower octave version of The Cage. Seriously sounds identical riff-wise, just lower.Raven wrote:Im surprised no1 has brought up how similar the opening riff of Poison sounds so much like White knuckles

Re: Official "The Last Hero" Thread
The beginning verse riff of Poison sounds pretty similar to the verse of Show Me a Leader.
It looks like it's been "corrected" on the European iTunes so only Poison's unlocked, so looks like someone fucked up. There's also two typos on the track list, which is...WaywardOne wrote:Can we confirm that the band's record labels are the reason that we can't get the same songs in the US? I'm just fucking around, U.S.radio does indeed suck. I would think the ones on this board have better taste though.
Re: Official "The Last Hero" Thread
I freaking love Poison, it's a fun song that to me doesn't sound generic and is still quite instrumentally involved and creative, while recalling a classic 80s rock vibe.
Re: Official "The Last Hero" Thread
I really wish Poison was the lead single. This screams rock radio... Super catchy chorus and a bomb solo. Hopefully this catches on in the US... Great song

My Trip to Orlando and Raleigh to see AB Posts
Re: Official "The Last Hero" Thread
Just saying I doubt most Americans on this board prefer stuff like My Champion compared to their better songs. Maybe people who listen to pop radio, but not fans of the band.

Songs haven't impressed me much either (although The Other Side is good) and my expectations have taken a big hit. I'm starting to feel like this won't be the big follow up to Fortress that I was expecting.Lotha wrote:Okay, the way it seems right now, I won't hear anything new and fresh and wow on this album. Decent songs at best, but they don't live up to the hype for me.
