anguyen92 wrote:Look, everyone that's posting here, they are going to buy the album/buy the concert tickets/shirts/VIPs/etc. That's a given. The mods, rightfully so, just don't want to this site to be the source of spreading piracy since if people discuss it then lurkers (those that read, but don't post) may be trying to find a leak or ask for a source, and who knows if they are going to be ones buying anything AB-related, anyway.

I haven't heard the album, yet, but that's because I respect the band's wishes to want us to wait it out until October 7th (something that so-called hardcore fans apparently does not have the patience for) to buy/hear it. I don't know why people want to hear the album, right away before the release date, I quite frankly don't care about their intentions.

However, if the mods made it clear to not discuss the unofficial contents of the album before the release date, here, we abide by it. If not, there's bound to be somewhere that you can discuss it as much as you want.

If management wants to track the source of the leaks, and find that this board had been discussing it. You know who's going to take the fall/blame? Those that moderate it and they don't deserve that sort of treatment. Those that maintaining and keeping this boards alive (even during the non-AB years, where posting activity decreases fast during those depressing times in these boards). They set the rules the way they feel would create a strong community and connection with the band, and it's up to us to abide it..
Appreciate ya

Interesting... Does this mean it will be available online soon? Or is the intent to keep it exclusive to Metal Hammer in Germany? I feel like if it's being given out to people legally like this it can't be long before they start trying to put it on the internet?

Even if it's given on a CD with a purchase of the album, it would not warrant a download of the song from illegal sources. Though who knows, maybe they will make it available on iTunes and the likes before the 7th arrives?!

It's funny how you people restrain from listening to the leak and how you condemn the ones that already heard it and share their views, while you would leave anything and run to pick up the copy of that Metal Hammer magazine.

Well, the Metal Hammer magazine is legal, so that's not a good comparison.

No difference between buying it and downloading the leak just to listen to Poison In Your Veins.

A chorus that I can't quite yet decide how I feel about it.
For all of the hope that it brings...

Well Myles said they all thought it would be the first single. So I guess it shouldn't be a surprise it comes out pre-albumrelease. And why it ended up at the Metal Hammer cd.

The chorus from the preview also gives me a classic rock/Slash vibe.

Well I guess that answers that question! Admit it Mods, you knew what the plan was all along :lol

As for that chorus... it's still surprisingly upbeat and classic rock (see: "Slash", as people are saying)! I much prefer their darker, heavier sound they usually go for, and after three songs that sway the other direction, that's definitely concerning. But if the rest of the album plays out differently, I think our collective minds are going to be blown.

Judging by the snippets, the 3 songs released 3 are the least representative of the album. These are the only ones with a classic rock feel that I remember, and several songs were a lot darker.
