Re: Official "The Last Hero" Thread
Very cool and odd of them to release snippets this early but it certainly does Hype.
From what I remember I remember Twilight and the first track being my favorite.
Anybody here Mark singing? I recall not hearing him that much but where I was wasn't very good for audio details

Re: Official "The Last Hero" Thread
In the snippets you could barely hear him, but with headphones in I know for sure I heard him at some parts. Surprisingly heard some Myles too, even with Mark saying he did a ton of backings...so why is there a need for Myles too? I guess we'll find out in 76 days.AllC392Was wrote:Very cool and odd of them to release snippets this early but it certainly does Hype.

Are you hinting that you did?!Jim wrote:If only someone had ripped all 14 of the snippets eh
I managed to record 10 of them on my iPod Voice Memos before they were removed (so ghetto). Other 4 were unplayable by then

Re: Official "The Last Hero" Thread
I listened to six or seven snippets on my way home from a trip... then my phone died. By the time I get back to this forum the damn links are all gone and expired. Somebody re-post the snippets please!
Re: Official "The Last Hero" Thread
if someone has the previews, you can send it at least to the people who already listened the songs?
Re: Official "The Last Hero" Thread
Absolutely love the feel of My Champion. If the melody continues on to what I'm thinking it will be in the chorus, this song is going to be REALLY special. Plus if the single release date turns out to be accurate, I get it the day after my birthday!
Rock Never Dies
Thanks for the sig Don Harry!

^^ This means so much to me.SHEAKENBAKEN wrote:Myles' voice and melodies were still as great as ever.......
Had the chance to hear the previews but just managed to fight the urge.
It feels so good to read all the hyped up comments. Show me a Leader, Cradle and IOF seem to be the most popular ones for now.
Though there is no mention of The Writing on the Wall, Poison in Your Veins and Losing Patience from anyone yet. Nobody was able to connect with those 30 seconds of those songs?

I loved losing patience. Poison in your veins actually removed me of slash and Myles.
Re: Official "The Last Hero" Thread
If i remember, they were all quite heavy, and it was hard to judge based on just the 30 seconds, but they didn't stand out as much as a lot of the others, i'm sure they will be great when you can listen through the whole song.SamarthJoshi wrote:^^ This means so much to me.SHEAKENBAKEN wrote:Myles' voice and melodies were still as great as ever.......

Re: Official "The Last Hero" Thread
Instruments for The Writing on The Wall kind of reminded me of the Myles bridge riff in Farther Than The Sun, Poison In Your Veins didn't sound anything like the 'stripper rock' comparison it had in the Listening Party, and Losing Patience had some great backing vocal harmonies from Myles but nothing stood out instrumentally. Probably a verse.SamarthJoshi wrote:^^ This means so much to me.SHEAKENBAKEN wrote:Myles' voice and melodies were still as great as ever.......

That's one of the songs I didn't get to record in time so I already forgot what it sounds like along with Island of Fools, The Last Hero, and The Last of Our KindJim wrote:Crows on a Wire will be the the best song on the record, I'm telling ya
Re: Official "The Last Hero" Thread
Did anyone think the riff from The Last Hero sounded very Iron Maiden? Like Fear of the Dark?

Yes, I very much enjoyed The Writing on the Wall. Also connected with Crows, My Champion and The Last Hero. It's almost here, guys and dolls.
