I'll be at a few shows I'm sure, it's a busy time of year with 3 Doors Down and Black Stone Cherry over in Oct/Nov too

Re: ABV tour date(s).
^ I want that tour to come to the rest of Europe as wel... Gojira holy fk! I feel bad for Volbeat and AB with an opener like that haha! But then again, I guess the crowd will be kinda divided between hard rock and metal.
edit: I might just go to Cologne instead of Amsterdam then, since Gojira will be there.

gjoira doesnt really fit with AB and Volbeat.. but i guess it will attract extra people to the gig as some will come for gojira and others for AB and or volbeat.

Nothing wrong with exposing AB to a wider audienceaxlar wrote:gjoira doesnt really fit with AB and Volbeat.. but i guess it will attract extra people to the gig as some will come for gojira and others for AB and or volbeat.
Re: ABV tour date(s).
I already imagine people running away in tears after two songs from Gojira lol
Re: ABV tour date(s).
There's still a support act for Amsterdam to become announced. Maybe Gojira, maybe not.fix wrote:^ I want that tour to come to the rest of Europe as wel... Gojira holy fk! And why not both?
Re: ABV tour date(s).
Volbeat is opening for them in UK because Volbeat isn't popular there. In continental part of Europe it would be Alter Bridge supporting them
Re: ABV tour date(s).
Most continental dates are just AB and Like a Storm, if I understand it properly.Nicklord wrote:In continental part of Europe it would be Alter Bridge supporting them
Re: ABV tour date(s).
Yeah. I just wanted to say if that UK tour with Volbeat and Gojira happened in continental part it would have Volbeat as headliners.Dolo wrote:Most continental dates are just AB and Like a Storm, if I understand it properly.Nicklord wrote:In continental part of Europe it would be Alter Bridge supporting them
Maybe I wasn't clear enough
Re: ABV tour date(s).
I'm really excited to hear that Gojira are touring with Alter Bridge. When I saw AB last I told myself I wouldn't see them again, but I certainly can't refuse this one. I'm not sure how Gojira will go down with the overall AB fanbase though. I mean this with no disrespect to Alter Bridge, but I anticipate that Gojira will upstage them.
They are one of the most important bands in metal at the moment. I just hope they don't tone down their set too much.

We got our first officially announced timeframe for the release of the album! Now it's starting to feel real. Alter Bridge is back!RoelSmoel wrote:This is what Napalm Records posted on Facebook:
ALTER BRIDGE TO HEADLINE ARENAS ACROSS EUROPE THIS WINTER
Alter Bridge are ecstatic to announce their long-anticipated return to Europe! Their biggest headline shows yet, the 24-date tour treks 15 countries and kicks off on November 4, 2016.
Produced by Michael 'Elvis' Baskette, Alter Bridge’s fifth studio album is planned for release in October 2016, via Napalm Records. Fans can look forward to hearing new songs on the tour, as well as their favourites!
Special guests include Danish rockers, Volbeat, who released their sixth album, Seal The Deal & Let's Boogie, earlier this month. Re: ABV tour date(s).
Another tour announcement, and no Irish date , might just have to go to England if I ever wanna see Alter Bridge live, i'll keep my fingers crossed for the summer of 2017, and sweet news knowing album #5 drops in October
Re: ABV tour date(s).
Volbeat doesn't fit with AB either. Furthermore i think they are kinda overrated. They had like 2 radio hits in Germany which were off their first record. Since then they only released bland pieces of music. Still they were one of the headliners at Rock am Ring. Eh... i fucking hate these kind of bands that get fame for nothing lol.axlar wrote:gjoira doesnt really fit with AB and Volbeat.. but i guess it will attract extra people to the gig as some will come for gojira and others for AB and or volbeat.

Re: ABV tour date(s).
^^ In all fairness, if we were talking about Five Finger Death Punch, I would be inclined to agree with you. That stated, Volbeat must have done something right if they were able to headline arenas and festivals in the non-UK part of the Europe. Also, I just heard their latest album, Seal The Deal & Let's Boogie, yesterday. I actually like it better than I thought I would. Enjoyed it better than Gojira's Magma (still all right, though, albeit a little too doomy/gloomy for my taste).
