#alterbridge is the room, I think.
-Addicted to Pain
-Rise Today
-Blackbird

$5 says that's the entire setlist. (Not necessarily in that order)

They said it's probably going to be three songs and it's not the three songs that you would like.

Edit: All right, that really brisk. Was much shorter than the video chat with Brian and Flip. It was still worth it though. I and probably 100 other people was glad that they took the time (though small) to do this.

1. Addicted to Pain
2. Rise Today
3. Brand New Start

<3 BNS acoustic! Did Mark and Myles do back to back solos like at the Blackbird release shindig at Mark's?

Brand New Start acoustic is nice! It's a while since they did that, right? I'd love to see a video of that.

All right, I fell asleep for a few hours, here's what I remembered.

1st off, they were surprised on how fast the chat box was going since everyone was making comments and so forth. They (mainly Myles) did a little brief strumming of a few songs when people were making suggestions (White Knuckles, Waters Rising, even Summergirl). Mark even made a comment where if they were to play Waters Rising in their hotel room, people next door or hotel managers would get mad at them. As for their performance for Brand New Start, I think I recall Myles doing a little vocal harmonizing during the bridge. Overall, it was a good brief 20 min. and it's nice to see them in this type of format.

I think this OkHello app has been good to the band as an outlet of interacting with the fans. I think, over the span of a month, I've seen the whole band in this video chat-like format and it was a good experience to see.

They were taking suggestions for the 3rd song. When they were reading the comments Mark goes "Words Darker Than Their Wings!" and Myles just kinda looked at him. :lol It was pretty funny.

Well, might as well discuss this. A few months back, I found something interesting in the Billboard Boxscore.

Here's what AB/Halestorm did in Switzerland.

40 Alter Bridge, Halestorm Hallenstadion Zurich, Switzerland Nov. 9, 2013 $286,256 3,258 / 4,500 1 / 0 $92.55, $81.66 Starclick Entertainment

Here's what Nickelback/Skillet did in the same venue though they played the arena part of it instead of the theater that AB did.

14 Nickelback, Skillet Hallenstadion Zurich, Switzerland Nov. 10, 2013 $1,055,910 13,000 / 13,000 1 / 1 $86.76, $75.92 Good News Productions

http://pulsemusic.proboards.com/thread/ ... e-03-08-14

I found it intriguing that the ticket prices for AB was higher than Nickelback despite Nickelback being indisputably the bigger band. I thought the logic would be the bigger the band, the higher the ticket prices so this is an interesting fact to find.

Also, on another note, here's what AB did in New York.

306 Alter Bridge Best Buy Theater New York, N.Y. April 24, 2014 $55,358 2,150 / 2,150 1 / 1 $30, $27.50 AEG Live

http://pulsemusic.proboards.com/thread/ ... e-06-28-14

They made $5k more than what they did last time, three years ago, in the same venue.

Maybe the ticket prices were higher because less fans = higher prices to compensate? Also could just be because Alter Bridge is the better band; bigger or not; and you pay more for the quality :P

^^ That statement never holds weight in the music business world. I mean AB actually had more people come to their show in Manchester than Miley Cyrus, but the ticket prices says different.

43 Alter Bridge, Shinedown, Halestorm Phones 4u Arena Manchester, U.K. Oct. 22, 2013 $381,355 9,440 / 10,992 1 / 0 $40.40 Live Nation

50 Miley Cyrus Phones 4u Arena Manchester, U.K. May 14, 2014 $795,424 8,658 / 10,371 1 / 0 $92.69, $79.21 Live Nation

Hey bud --whats the numbers -dont understand
$381,355 9,440 / 10,992 1 / 0 $40.40 Live Nation

$381,355 is a lot even for AB!

i did Nottingham last year--I thought it was £25--cost me a total of £62.50 for 2 tickets with the handling fee and postage.

Wembley I thought £28. Cost me £93.50 was for 3 tickets all in. Manchester my mate got so not sure but I thought close to Nottingham.

Point for me is that is great value for money--3 great bands.

AB easily could have got £50 per ticket. I thought the US tickets were reasonable also.

My view was that the band dont want to take the piss out of their fans--Kings of Leon are charging £55
