So I'm talking to this girl, show her MF4. She ends up listening to AB because it was on the suggested videos on YouTube. She listened to Broken Wings. Not knowing a single thing about AB, she comments that it reminded her of Creed. My mind was blown.

That's almost what happened to me. Back in 06' my buddy and I were driving to Taco Bell and he had ODR in. I wasn't really paying attention until Down to my Last came on. I was blown away. I remember saying "Who is this?! It's reminds me of Creed, but much better!", to which he told me Alter Bridge. Google it later to find it was Creed with a new singer lol.

Funny thing is he stopped paying attention to them after that album. I became a die hard fan. Funny how that works.

Heh funny story. What I found so impressive about this was that, compared to your story, this was is 2016, waaaay after the Creed era, and this girl doesn't even really listen to that kinda music, yet she still somehow made the connection!

I just got outbidded in the last second on a really cheap copy of AB3 on vinyl...
Haven't seen one go for that cheap in years, put down my bid (40 USD) when there was 3 seconds remaining on the auction, got overbidded by one dollar with 1 second left, didn't have time to place another bid.
