Not even close to being a rip-off. The only thing that's "the same" is the key and the fact that they go to the IV chord for a moment after the riff.

Alter Bridge themselves have got closer to ripping off Come to Life than those guys have with that song. Although the verse melody did seem very slightly similar.

I do hear that similarity in the chord progressions in the verse but the rest of the song is so different in tone that I wouldn't thought of it as a copy.

I can see why you would think that it sounds similar. At the end of the riff there's a chord played part that is the same as in CTL
