Re: Unreleased songs
Sounds like a dozen of other songs.. The vocals have to be damn good to make it stand on its own.

Re: Unreleased songs
Or 'Solace' became All Hope Is Gone, well they might of taken the barebones of Solace and made All Hope Is Gone, I can see it going either of ways...but they both sound amazing. I could also just seem them reusing said song that wasn't released and tweaking it to make a different but similar hit.Outright wrote:Sounds like All Hope Is Gone's cousin.
Re: Unreleased songs
In the Edge interview, he said that Mark was singing Metalingus when he asked if he use it as his entrance. One Drew Remains wrote:Did'nt I just watch an interview on here where they said he only sent Myles demos (w/Mark singing) of Broken Wings, Down To My Last and Breathe? I assumed those are the only songs with MT vocals.
Re: Unreleased songs
hearing mark singing metalingus would be weird, although i do REALLY wanna hear it..

Re: Unreleased songs
Imo it sounds like Blackbird and All Hope is Gone way too much. Much like Brand New Start sounds a lot like Wayward One.Jim wrote:Nothing about that snippet interested me
Re: Unreleased songs
Lol they do. BNS at least has a positive message in its chorus, whereas Wayward One is gloomy from start to finishHappyHogJens wrote:Imo it sounds like Blackbird and All Hope is Gone way too much. Re: Unreleased songs
Well, of course a song called 'Brand New Start' would have a feeling of hope and a positive message. 'Wayward One' is about a pretty grim topic where there's not much room for positivity, don't you think? The song would betray the importance of the subject matter if it wasn't gloomy from start to finishOutright wrote:Lol they do. Re: Unreleased songs
I don't think it's even the alter bridge recorded version.. somebody prolly just re-recorded that part from the mark tremonti sound and story dvd. The tone sounds more like it came from an electric keyboard piano using a different tone

Yeah I know I wasn't knocking the song. Not sure why I said "at least."Dan Dando wrote:Well, of course a song called 'Brand New Start' would have a feeling of hope and a positive message. Re: Unreleased songs
I found out last night that there's no re-recording limits on the b-sides. So the band can re-record them and release them or do what they want with the re-recordings and the labels can't do shit about that.
Photobucket cash grab.

So has it been that way the entire time? Or just recently? I hope it's the latter or I might justRyan wrote:I found out last night that there's no re-recording limits on the b-sides. Man, chill out?! Look... let's be honest, at the end of the day, if these b-sides were that special then we would have heard them by now. The guys deciding not to re-record them (although they may do it in the future) doesn't annoy me in any way. I think it's awesome that they're trying to get their hands on the original recordings for... us, essentially. But if the guys have to go and spend valuable time recording something I'd prefer for them to make a couple of new songs and put out a tiny EP (would never happen, I know) than go back to remixing old material.SHEAKENBAKEN wrote:So has it been that way the entire time?
