Right. Songs which didn't work for Creed and were never developed. Not until Myles joined and Mark and the band took a new musical direction from their previous work.chtimixeur wrote:I'm not making this upJim wrote:Lol the idea of Stapp singing any AB song gives me a headache.Brian Marshall, 2012Well “Before the Remains” that was our first record to get back out there [as Alter Bridge], and I think a lot of the songs were on the Creed backburner for a while – there were new songs written but some of them date back to that Creed era.

Re: What is your favorite AB album?
Well, ODR was the first AB album I listened completely, and that I bought, but I will have to go for Blackbird.

Pretty much this.NytestrykerZ wrote:One Days Remains by a mile. Stronger songwriting, better riffs, better leads, better vocals, more groove, more open space, less alt-metal... I could go on.

One Day Remains definitely. Then ABIII, then Blackbird.
It´s sorted by the number of my favorite songs on each album. And I prefer the sound of One Day Remains album

One Day Remains. The others are poorly produced.

Re: What is your favorite AB album?
I love all 3 albums on pretty much the same level. But, AB III just pips ODR and BB for me. Only because the style of the songs appeal to me more than the first two albums. Dark and brooding. But, don't get me wrong... as I said before, I love all 3

Don't get me wrong Jim, I think Elvis gets a lot of unnecessary blame around here, but any ear should be able to tell BB and AB III suffer from the loudness war way more so than ODR.

speaking of production... has anyone ever noticed that at the end of come to life, brand new start is starting? for lack of a better word... just thought id throw that in the production argument lol. it starts on song two
Re: What is your favorite AB album?
Haven't paid too much attention to be honest, but that happens with some songs. I think the ending of Standing in the Sun bleeds into You're A Lie.

Re: What is your favorite AB album?
You're absolutely right. It's not that uncommon, really. For instance, Creed did it between "One Last Breath" and "My Sacrifice".AB23 wrote:speaking of production... has anyone ever noticed that at the end of come to life, brand new start is starting? for lack of a better word... just thought id throw that in the production argument lol. it starts on song two
Re: What is your favorite AB album?
it sort of seems a bit lazy if you ask me... like an easy fix. if a 21 year old fan can notice it, then youd think that professionals who are paid a lot to do stuff like that would
Re: What is your favorite AB album?
Thought some bands did it on purpose? I really hadn't thought about it much to be honest.

Re: What is your favorite AB album?
It's an extremely common thing. I dunno why it's even being discussed.
