Noticing The Little Things (On All Albums)

yes, me too
Re: Noticing The Little Things (On All Albums)
I think it's actually Myles, but I'm near 100% sure that it's a reprise of the earlier "such an awful fate". Love that bit as well though.Dan Dando wrote:For the life of me I still can't make out what Mark sings at the very end of Cry of Achilles, right after.. "Hope it's not too late" - to my ears it sounds a little like "Touching down." (although I don't think it's exactly that) or.. I don't know
For all of the hope that it brings...

I think I'm hearing both 'such an awful fate' and something that ends with 'down', but seems like Mark's voice to me, though...

In the intro to Calm the Fire at the end of Myles' vocals ("better left unseen at all-ahhh"), I love how the chord resolves on every instrument. AB never really resolves chords like that, and it's really cool to hear bass, guitar & vox do it at once.

Those creepy Mark/Myles riffs to The Uninvited (from 1:47 - 1:51)
Calm The Fire's cool riffs in the background, right there, after the intro (0:41 - 1:09); and also, that FUCKING BAM at 1:21

If you listen closely during the quiet parts of Lover you can hear the same synth patch from the STTV intro.

Yeah Mark is absolutely saying "such an awful fate", infact i think they're both are.
Rise Today -
Backing rhythm for the chorus, there's a part that they don't play live. It's really hard to type how it sounds haha.. It's behind the "Yeeaaahhh"s. It's played on the D chord first, then the second "yeeaahhh" it's on the Cmaj... It's SO hard to type what i mean haha!

Shout out to the insanely high vocal at the end of Never Born to Follow. My friend said he imagined a viking on top of a mountain singing at the top of his lungs when he heard it.

I found another little annoying thing. At 2:54 in Calm the Fire the hi-hat goes from the left of the mix to the center.

I like how he does that at in the bridge of Cry of Achilles. "It's not too late-ah." Love that part.

The secondary guitar playing over the main riff starting at 5:07 during Waters Rising, it sounds exactly like the guitar is saying "water is rising, coming to wash it all away, there's no denying...." I understand its supposed to do that, but I get chills hearing it everytime

^ Yeah man!!! they've managed to emulate the melody perfectly! If you play guitar; learn it and play along to Myles singing that part in the bridge.. It's scarily accurate how they've done it so well
