Man, CoA live is literally a wall of perfectly executed live music! There's not a single thing wrong with it.Ubik wrote:Cheers for those vids Jim, Cry of Achilles may be my favourite thing they do live now, awesome. Also loving those little high notes on the guitar Myles is doing at the end of The Uninvited, during the last "stone faced liar"s.
Edit - also sounds like the sound guy was having a shit night.
Re: WEMBLEY!
CoA was fantastic in Cardiff, got a huge response from the crowd. I've seen a few videos of it being played live, and it was flawless last night.

Re: WEMBLEY!
The reason Wembley gets the status is that Myles said its ground zero for them as it was London where it all started back in 2004. first London gig was UCL London back at the start . i was there

Re: WEMBLEY!
I went to the first gig this band ever did in UCL London and gigs outside Astoria when there were only 5-10 people waiting near to doors opening ,i was there at 8.00am in the morning to get on the rail. So as you can see from my user name consider myself hardcore AB supporter. I have met the band several times over this time but this time in Birmingham i did the VIP Nation thing not proud wish i did not have to do this as i do not agree with the corprate machine. however the worst crime at a gig even worse than some of the people who did the vip thing then selling the freebie signed poster on E-bay [how is that being a fan] No the worst thing i have had to watch over the last ten years is being is being near the front of the que and seeing people turn up at all times and chat to mates at front of que and then stay there like some king of official pushing in ! sometimes its 2,3,4 even a whole group of people latching on to front of que just because their mate is near front so this time i thought ******** i will do vip. then again i would not have done that had i been friends with Dan Catullo.Jim wrote:Halestorm - Amazing, i actually got goosebumps on several occasions.. That NEVER happens
Shinedown - For once, terrible. Empty sound, Zach is a little cocky prick, Brent was giving out ROSES!?? There was an overly obvious backing track and of course, Brent lip-synced 4 or 5 of the songs. Not to mention they had the audience waiting with some weird interlude shit between songs
Alter Bridge - Not the best crowd I've ever witnessed at an AB show. They seemed to get excited for the first 30 seconds of each song then died out for the rest of it. Metalingus was the highlight of the night, and Cry Of Achilles! Myles' vocals were insane, he pulled off 95% of his licks from the records and Brian was on TOP form! I think they were amazing.
If I'm gonna be brutally honest, I'm kinda pissed off with the VIP early entry thing. It shits all over the die-hards who are happy to wait in the cold and wet all day, and travel the country (& world) for this band. Kinda segregates the fans as to who is more important to them. Pissed me off
Dan Catullo gets a HUGE shout out, hooking me up with guestlist seating and after show party passes. That man is a superstar. The seats were PERFECT but the guys didnt come out at the party for a good 1hr 30, by which time I'd had to leave.. Another downer
Overall, top notch AB gig, looking forward to Cardiff

I haven't, but it may be thread worthy to share info about all the AB memorabilia everyone's collected and see how it progresses over the span of the tours.

My favourite thing about that picture is the cat
Awesome collection!
For all of the hope that it brings...
Re: WEMBLEY!
Yeah the cat made me chuckle too. That collection is insane though!

Re: WEMBLEY!
I can't believe the guy from Shinedown is STILL lip-syncing - I called this way back when they supported AB at the Astoria, and nobody believed me at the time. What a fucking hack! It makes you wonder how much of the studio output is really him singing.
