Re: Addicted to Pain - Lyrics/Meaning
This sounds horrible. But when I heard that part the first time it sounded like "a dick to the face." Then I furrowed my brow and said, "that can't possibly be right."
Altered:

Bridge:
The second line sounds more like ''You know it now'' than ''You're nowhere now'' and it makes sense 'cause the next line is ''She sold you out'' - and he knows it now that she sold him out...
But ''You're nowhere now'' and ''You know it now'' both actually make sense...

No I think its "you're nowhere now." I think that sounds better as well

Mark is Myles' face dealer.

I really can't tell if it's "nowhere" or "know it" ...can someone confirm this?

Oh gosh, I remember reading that...Crumbso wrote:Oh god. We had this rubbish when WDTTW came out. I distinctly remember having an argument with some dude on here who was telling me it was "how can I behove" instead of "how could I be wrong".
It's always the one that makes sense. He clearly says 'too' in every instance and yeah I'm assuming it's shorthand for "You're too addicted to face the situation therefore, in time, you're going to lose everything". That's just not as catchy.
Re: Addicted to Pain - Lyrics/Meaning
I'd also like to put a vote in for "You know it now". I'll bet on it if I have to.
Re: Addicted to Pain - Lyrics/Meaning
It's definitely "you know it now"
And the ending lyric is "you dont listen any more"... Not "you dont live here anymore"
.. I think

Maybe that's some sort of hidden meaning right here

Writing this song was a genius move from Alter Bridge.

Somebody at the listening party should have asked him if it's "nowhere now" or "know it now" and "live it" or "listen". You all dropped the ball, damn it. =P

Don't be silly, Myles will probably rap those parts live and we'll knowInconquerable wrote:Somebody at the listening party should have asked him if it's "nowhere now" or "know it now" and "live it" or "listen". You all dropped the ball, damn it. =P
I agree with ''know it now'' and ''listen'', makes more sense, I think...

"Listen" is at the beginning, "live it" is at the end.
Highly belated edit - huh, it is listen at the end too.

For all of the hope that it brings...
