I noticed that too! I think his voice is more dynamic (not in terms of notes or anything) and expressive on this album than I've heard it before.

And Monty, Mr. Scarecrow ain't new, he's an oldie, from the old boards.

I find it weird that it seems like in every song there is a very noticable vocal effect...

But thanks AB4Lyfe, we can be Friends4lyfe

Wait till ya hear the CD quality and you'll give it a 10. :lol

HA! Nice.

I haven't noticed the vocal effect, but I do like each singer (Mark and Myles) are pretty much also their own back-up singer.

The vocal effect in Peace is Broken is the only one I have an issue with. Kinda kills the mood of that verse for me, sorta how the Come To Life vox fx bothered me.

Waters Rising i think is the most noticable effect on Myles's bit & the Opening to COA

I already have an advance copy of AB V. Their best album to date. Only listened to it once b/c it self-destructed ... so don't ask me for a copy. Flip and Brian contribute vocals via pig squealing.

My favorite parts so far are the parts where the band actually drops out. Just before the bridge/solo of Bleed It Dry is one. The other is the entire middle bit of Fortress and how it goes silent for several seconds before Marks starts back in.

There are so many dynamics on this record that it will take weeks to absorb it all.

Is it safe to assume the best two sets of lyrics alter bridge has written are the choruses to Cry of Achilles and All Ends Well?

I actually enjoyed Lover probably the best lyrically. I just showed my friend "who is an avid fan of AB but not nearly as much as me" all the songs and he said lover was far and away the best. It sounded like Mayfield Four to him, which in my opinion is just as good of a band, if not better in some cases than AB.

I second that, the lyrics to Lover are amazing. Lover is amazing.

Don't forget Waters Rising.

This is the season we tear our rivals down
This circle of tyrants will end us all right now
The earth has provided the means to burn it down

They stepped it up lyrically this time around.

Man, the bridge in Waters Rising :eek Myles delivers such an eerie vocal - can't wait to see the song performed live.
