Haha, don't worry Roneit - you're not the only one who has thought this. This similarity was the premise of Gibson's lawsuit against PRS which caused the injunction preventing PRS from producing any Singlecuts (including the Tremonti -- gasp!) from 2004 to 2005.

Nice to see Myles back with his favorite guitar. :)

HAHA... i originally typed "asshole" but then i couldn't resist going back and editing it to say Macca! It was just too easy. Nothing but respect though, just a little friendly jab!

Didn't he name that guitar something ridiculous like 'The Backhoe' or something?

Via Michael: "30 min warning! Alter Bridge songs about to be created today!"

From Michael: ''Watching Alter Bridge write is like a music clinic with four connected minds. Spine-tingling!''

This type of hype just needs to quit already, posting pics, fine, but this......
We get it Michael, you can hear some new music being written.
Jeez.

Isn't that the point of teasing fans and making them anxious about the upcoming album?

Jeez.

It's this kind of hype that keeps us connected to the band during the proces. I don't really see the problem.. He's not even using Alter Bridge's twitter to do it. He's using his own..

You can't fault Michael for making such comments. It must be magical to witness the genesis of new songs, created by four guys who have a very rare musical connection with each other.

Gotta love Orlando! It's indeed the most magical place in the world! :lol

They got pretty much everything: Disney World, Premium Outlets, Apple Store and the AB Headquarter (Castle Tremonti, which blows Cinderella's out of the water! :lol).

I think if I was there I would be worse.

But I get the point. The worst teaser that Michael did for me in ABIII it was the hype about the Ghost Of Days Gone By. My expectation was too high and it didnt make me like that song that much. At least, he isnt doing that anymore. Well, for now.

Even if he was doing that, there would be nothing wrong with it. He's just giving his opinions on the songs.. Just keep in mind that he might be overreacting, and the same thing won't happen again.

Lol, he won't be posting messages that the band that he is a manager of, writes shit songs.

Yeah, if he was less than enthused about what they were up to, he would probably just cease giving updates at all.

I actually love Ghost of Days Gone By. I guess I missed his praise for it last time out. I can imagine what I'd be typing if I were there watching them and downing cold ones in 60 degree weather. The jealousy is all mine.

What's interesting to me is that they seem to be conducting the entire writing process as a full band. On past albums, I seem to remember hearing that Mark and Myles would hash out most of the songs on their acoustics before bringing in Scott and Brian.

Maybe Mark and Myles have been trading ideas digitally for so long that they've already effectively completed the "Mark and Myles alone" phase. That would also explain how they've already managed to knock out 7+ songs for AB IV.

I'd be willing to be you're right. AB haven't been together since what, the Aussie tour in march? Pleanty of time to write. And just because they have seven songs so quickly doesn't mean they have lyrics yet. I would imagine they are just pounding out the music and melody. Hopefully I'm wrong and they are more finished that I thought.
