Although AHIG is one of my favourites on ABIII, Buried Alive kicks major ass and Burn It Down is amazing from beginning to end and one of my favourites on ODR, I have to vote Lover. I loved it from the first time I heard it and after hearing it live yesterday it's one of my favourite AB songs of all time. Such a powerful song.

That's funny. When it first came out I didn't really enjoy All Hope Is Gone that much, mostly because of the chorus. Now three years later it's my favourite song from AB III and its chorus is one of my favourite moments from that album.

Buried Alive is way underrated here. That beginning solo, the riff, the bridge. One of ABs best songs.

Hell yeah. It defines heaviness without resorting to metal elements (gallops, double bass, etc).

The chorus of All Hope Is Gone is one of the worst of AB

I hate to say it, but I kind of agree. It's not the worst, but it's among the weakest. But again, even AB's weakest work is hella-strong.

The chorus of All Hope Is Gone is one of the worst of AB

It took me some time to get into AHIG (the same happened with Ghosts), but for me it was easy to do so and I love every second of that song, including the chorus - but as always, preferences differ here. To me, Buried Alive has one of the weakest choruses AB have ever written. ^^

EDIT: Wow, the improvised Come to Life solo heavily changes the feeling of the whole song, but I like it!

EDIT²: WHAT THE BLOODY HELL! That solo is AMAZING! Probably the most groovey solo they EVER did - it's a shame that they didn't adopt it in the final version!

Agreed on the original intro...it's 1,000x better. I know I may be the only one on this, but I actually really don't like Mark's guitar solo during the intro to Buried Alive, at all. There's something about it that just doesn't sit quite right with me, though I'm not sure what it is.
