Shout out to Mark's lead tone. His best yet. I'm also loving the no-wah leads.

Re: The 'Shout-out' Thread
Shout-out to the incredible transition of Myles falsetto to his full voice in the intro of Calm The Fire. That and the synths in the background make me want cry of joy.

Re: The 'Shout-out' Thread
The way Myles sings the last two lines of the very last chorus in 'The Uninvited.' I don't why, but I love it.
Thanks DonHarry!

Shout-out to the 5/4 riff in Cry A River!
Also a shout-out to the bridge of Cry A River! Especially to Flip on the drums!

Re: The 'Shout-out' Thread
I really dig the guitar riff going on during the verses in Calm The Fire. Really drives the song along. Almost has a One Day Remains vibe for me.
Another photobucket casualty...

Re: The 'Shout-out' Thread
Besides the ones listed already I really like the part right before the final chorus in The Uninvited. Not sure why but I like how it goes back to the clean intro part.
Re: The 'Shout-out' Thread
The bit in Fortress when Myles says 'I can't let you go' in that eerie tone. Reminds me of the 'I can't take this anymore' bit in New Way To Live, I love it.

Re: The 'Shout-out' Thread
It's already been said. But shout out to Brians bass coming in on the quiet part of Fortess.
Shout out to Myles on Cry of Achilles. Tomorrow, is not too late-ahhhh. I love how he almost hisses the end of "late."

Also Brian's rumbling gallop before the solos come in during Fortress. That song and Cry of Achilles are like brothers in arms.
EDIT - How did I flat out miss Drew's post above this one...

Shoutout to the intro to The Uninvited. It makes that awesome riff pop even more.

Re: The 'Shout-out' Thread
The high-pinched guitar notes in the background of the pre-chorus and outro of The Uninvited.
Edit: in the outro it's a synth I think..

It's ok, Ubik. When an album is this good, it's easy to get excited and skip over entire posts.

Re: The 'Shout-out' Thread
That part is incredible badass though! Definitely deserves more than 1 shout-out You guys both missed my inclusion of that part on page 1 btw

Re: The 'Shout-out' Thread
The second vocal intro part after the falsetto in "Calm The Fire" is just amazing and some of the best vocal work Myles has EVER done.. I´m just blown away by it.

Re: The 'Shout-out' Thread
Shout-out to the vocal harmonies and lyrics in the bridge in Fortress! "Ohh, there'll come a time.."

Re: The 'Shout-out' Thread
^Favourite moment on the album (section in general).
Despite my constant fellatio of Fortress in pretty much every thread ever I feel it needs more mentions to stop it getting jealous of its brother. So - Fortress coming down! Can hear Mark singing it live and it's going to be big.
EDIT - And on a similar theme - the whole breakdown into the bridge of Peace is Broken, when Mark kicks in with "Loooost"
