I've seen multiple people over the internet claim it's coming out on the 12th. We will see I suppose. The 20th would be cool too though, it's my wife and I's Anniversary. Would be a nice present!Ubik wrote:September 20, if the pattern holds.

On another note, Myles gave a lot of level-headed answers that doesn't come off as having an over-inflated ego.
Can i assume thats a pot at me ? I will just ignore that if thats the case because that is pretty poor bait.

Re: AB VI Studio/Recording Thread
I've seen a couple of bands doing this recenty. It's a nice gimmick for people living in the past.

A song that automatically downloads early if you have the album pre-ordered.Troops4Tremonti wrote:What is a "pre-release" - another single? Am I missing something?joshuabeau wrote:Yeah, I’ve seen the 12th too.

I work in journalism, I'm an editor for a national legal news website, and am very familiar with embargoes, but after I saw the first review I thought the overall embargo had cleared. I understand now that it must be on a story-by-story or region-by-region basis. Thank you for clarifying.TTournier wrote:ugh, no it isn't.. its called an embargo. stuff starts coming out in 2 weeks.MidnightToker wrote:Yeah, this silence after the press tour is weirdBlackbirddd wrote:We just have one album review?
You go and do press trips for long lead outlets (Print, features, covers...) then you do phoners for things that roll out in a week or so.
Its always worked this way.
There have been 3 features / reviews out to date - one in the UK, one in Poland and one in France.
Just wanted to state on the record that I didn't mean to upset or offend the best manager that my favorite band has ever had. I apologize again for the perceived slight, and very much look forward to the upcoming reviews and feature stories.
Psh, no need to be sorry! All good.

Per AB's Twitter, it looks like the next song will be out on Thursday and it will be "In The Deep." Here's a teaser.

I've heard it too and it's awesome. You're probably right though. Very 80s sounding, but still Alter Bridge.LosingPatience wrote:Heard new song and the responce is not going to be good

I completely disagree, respectfully. This is the most dynamic of the bunch so far in my opinion. It's way more interesting to me than the other tracks, musically speaking.LosingPatience wrote:Heard new song and the responce is not going to be good

Re: AB VI Studio/Recording Thread
I'm afraid to say this is the first time I've felt disappointed in a new AB song. The intro and verses are unbelievably good, but the chorus just does not fit at all. I'm going to struggle to articulate this, but I expected the chorus to have an atmospheric quality and an "open" sound that matched the bittersweet tone of the verse, which it simply does not have.
The chorus feels like it belongs in another song, the vocal melody doesn't compliment what came before and to me the transition felt really jarring. Don't get me wrong though, I'm obviously hoping it's a grower.

Let this be an exercise in how to face your fears

Oh no I agree with both of you. The song is awesome. Another refreshing sound we haven't really heard from AB. I just know how people are on here. There is going to be complaints.Jaded Rescue wrote:I completely disagree, respectfully. This is the most dynamic of the bunch so far in my opinion.
