Well, it's just my opinion is it not? I am free to state it as much as those that hates My Champion and made their opinions known right?

This is one opinion you're not allowed to have.anguyen92 wrote:Well, it's just my opinion is it not? I am free to state it as much as those that hates My Champion and made their opinions known right?

^^ How so? It's a song that I might not going to think too much when I think ODR. To be fair, I wouldn't oppose to it being played live one day, if it means shaking their set up, but as my personal thoughts as a song, ehhhh.

From AB's Facebook:
Unlock The Other Side - Friday!
So I guess that means that's our 4th official pre-release track!

Kevin, I hope you know I'm just teasing you. Whether or not you think SMS is AB's worst song is up to you, I'm certainly the polar opposite were I think it's one of their best songs, but I'm not actually hating on you for your opinion. But this is the wrong thread soanguyen92 wrote:^^ How so? It's a song that I might not going to think too much when I think ODR. Now whenever I listen to Shed My Skin, I'll think the melancholy is because it knows Kev's true feelings.
For all of the hope that it brings...
Re: Official "The Last Hero" Thread
I like Shed My Skin but I think I can understand how some people wouldn't. It took quite a few listens for me to get into it. I don't think it was until I heard it live where it hit me how kickass of a closer it was.
Myles in the bridge sounds absolutely stupendous. You can hate the song but at least acknowledge that. That is Myles in his prime.

Kinda late to the party here since it's getting hard to keep up with the thread (not a bad thing at all!), but I totally agree on the artwork Jared Ward did for the track-by-track reviews. They all look great!SHEAKENBAKEN wrote:Oh okay. Thanks Ryan! I'm just really anticipating it because this would be the first redesign on the forums since I joined.Ryan wrote:It's in progress. Jared Ward made those, and we adore them
Still no ETA on that redesign though?
Anyone else think it would be cool if some of these were re-sized to match Facebook and/or Twitter cover photo sizes? I'd love to put one of these up and do my little part to spread the word about the new album!

"Shed My Skin" is AB's worst song.

Well, I'm sorry. I'm sticking with my opinion on the matter, just like how people are sticking with their hatred of My Champion.

My least favorite is probably one of their b-sides. We Don't Care At All is pretty low on my list. If we're talking album-only songs, I'd probably go with Breathe Again.

Re: Official "The Last Hero" Thread
I don't know if I "hate" any Alter Bridge songs, but every album has that one that I really would never mind skipping when playing through shuffle and hoping to run across one of the greats. My mediocre tracks are:
- Burn It Down
- Coming Home
- Make It Right
- Peace Is Broken
Not looking for the hate parade here, just offering an opinion.

Re: Official "The Last Hero" Thread
You may have awoken the bear by saying Burn It Down... Cue: Monty.
Re: Official "The Last Hero" Thread
Who could dislike BIT?! Such good lyrics, some of the best Mark's ever written imo. Wish they'd do more songs like it.
Re: Official "The Last Hero" Thread
Just gonna throw in my two cents here but My Champion, for me, is a good little tune. Not their best but I still really dig it and its nice to have an upbeat catchy number now and again. For the record, I consider it superior to the following AB tracks;
We Don't Care At All
Break Me Down
Coming Home
Wayward One
Make It Right
Breathe Again
Life Must Go On
All Ends Well

Life Must Go On

Re: Basically stop having self-respect
Champion would've been an excellent song if it had better lyrics in the chorus. Now it's just a good one.
You just kinda have to go with it.

Guys, let's take a moment to breathe, close our eyes and remember: life must go on...

Re: Official "The Last Hero" Thread
Yes, but I don't really consider any of AB tunes "bottom". Moreover, "not quite as awesome".
