Yeah I think the producer and songwriting style has a lot to do with it, because you can tell a change in his tone just going from '04 to '07.

So I guess they're already starting vocals now which is good. Also hyped to see some acoustics as well. I'm intrigued to see Myles using capo 5 as well. Only other time I've seen him use one was for his version of "Hallelujah"

just noticed that

I'm surprised no one said anything about the fact that it said they started recording vocals though. I assume Myles would be going first? Also, I think Myles' voice is still in great shape and Lover and Calm the Fire were good examples of that. Obviously he isn't getting any younger but he still sounds great.

We'll have to wait and see I guess! And I think it's because of the fact that AB has been rather quiet with the updates this time around. I remember there being a lot more updates from Elvis during the AB4 sessions. Including usually when they'd start and finish another step in the recording/mixing/mastering process. Here it just seems to be all over the place. No word from Mark doing any sort of backing or lead vocals either so maybe he's still up next or they just never bothered to say anything?

They still kind of did that, but the recording portion doesn't seem to be getting as much exposure.

So much going on with Tremonti and Dust. With GnR touring and all people are looking elsewhere. I like this a lot. Its just them and music

“We’re still tracking it. We’ve gotten through almost all of the instrumentation, now it’s time to get onto the vocals. I think Myles [Kennedy, lead vocalist/rhythm guitarist] gets back to singing on Sunday [1st May]. We’ve got about thirteen tracks to sing on, then go behind them and do all the harmonies and my parts.”

So I thought they were recording 14 songs? Unless 1 got kicked out... possible instrumental??
