Got a link? One Drew Remains wrote:Yes, Holy Wars has an acoustic part just before the time sig change. Megadeth uses it a lot. I agree. When used as layers, it makes a much more rich sound. Wish they would use the 12 string more. That vid of Mark and Myles playing Burn It Down at NAMM 9 years ago is amazing.

Another Lover/Burn It Down and White Knuckles is something I really want to see on ABV, also some super aggressive song with a very nice clean transition would be amazing.

He should put on Rising Storm in the car at ear piercing volume, he'll love Dust!
Re: AB V
He's listened to the album now and has changed his mind a bit I believe.

Burn it Down has always been, in my opinion, the most underrated AB song by a longshot. I still don't know if I've heard a more meaningful and downright badass bridge in my life.mockingbird wrote:Another Lover/Burn It Down and White Knuckles is something I really want to see on ABV, also some super aggressive song with a very nice clean transition would be amazing.
One of their most underrated solos too. If they made songs that had more of a chill vibe like that, while maintaining the lyrics, it would be amazing.
Burn it Down deserves more credit. Starts out really slow and moody. Slowly picks up speed as the lyrics get a little bit more positive. Then at the end, its just in your face "you CAN get over this." The progression in that song, both in the pace of the music and the style of the lyrics, has always amazed me. Its gorgeous. And I've never gotten to hear it live.

And jeez. This live video of burn it down is the healthiest I've ever seen Myles look/sound since his time with AB... this is just magical. I wonder if he changed his diet or if he smokes or something (unlikely, but the difference in complexion is clearly noticeable)

I will go with these options. I mean to the extent of "Mark and Myles is recording guitars, atm," there's not much more that needs to be stated for the time being. I'm sure when the time comes regarding vocals/lyrics Myles will tweet something about it.Jim wrote: D. For all we know, they could be working 24/7 on stuff just not broadcasting it

It may be that I was 17 at the time of it's release but nothing AB has done since has managed to be as meaningful to me. I also feel like it's one of Mark's most personal lyrics. A great description of depression that I wasn't able to fully understand until a few years later when I went through something similar.
Dat guitar solo tho'! Chills even now. The perfect ending.

I think you took me saying "no updates in a while" as "fuck Alter Bridge and their fucking terrible fucking PR staff at not having a fucking in depth view at every fucking activitiy they've ever done in their musical careers fuckity fuck fuck." When, more rationally, I probably just pointing out that there have indeed not been any updates in a while.Jim wrote:A.
