Deal with it, cry a river. Everyone calls me Kevin, even though, that is not my name and I got to live with it from now on, until something happens and I'm not called Kevin anymore.AB23 wrote:Timotheus wrote:So it's cool to curse in God's name as long as you abbreviate the words?

I don't know why. I think it's because everyone keeps calling me Kevin.AB23 wrote:woah woah why are you an assface all of a sudden
I'm sorry, AB23, I didn't mean to make you upset, man.

Well, I believe we have somehow inadvertently derailed another thread. Unfortunately, I got nothing to get this back on topic since I have yet to hear the album, at all.

Think on the bright side here, guys. In two days, maybe three, we'll have live footage of some of the new songs from Fortress. And also, in six days, we'll have Outright.

Re: Fortress... A Disappointment?
The music is great but the lyrics are terrible; "predictable and monotonous" to quote a prior review. I listen to the complexity and subtlety of Blackbird's (album) lyrics and compare it to Fortress (album), and I find myself listening over and over to Blackbird to unravel the mystery, whereas with Fortress I am done after a few runs. In all the years of waiting, sadly, AB has lost its way. To me, the band was built on the collaboration between a legendary guitarist (Mark) and an awe-inspiring vocalist and song writer (Myles) - and I feel this is the order it should have been if they wanted to retain the authenticity and purity of music and lyrics that they achieved in preceding albums.

All right, well, what else do you want those guys to talk about? There can be only so much that these guys can talk about in a lyrical standpoint around the realms of the genre that they decided to play.
I mean Calm the Fire, to me, was probably the most interesting track that they have ever done in that lyrical standpoint.

They are predictable? I don't think CTM has been around here much lately, it truly is disappointing.
Speaking of disappointment, Fortress... not at all a disappointment.

Re: Fortress... A Disappointment?
Fortress is in no form a disappointment. It successfully succeeded Blackbird, something ABIII in my opinion did not do.
