First post in the Projected forum!
But, for real. If you folks haven't listened to the clips up at http://www.projectedband.com, go do it now! John's been cycling different previews and full songs through the media player there, and I have yet to hear anything I've been disappointed in.

It felt so lonely with just us mods running around starting threads!
Re: First post in the Projected forum!
They sound pretty decent.

I like what I've heard so far. Pretty excited to hear the whole thing.

Watch It Burn sounds pretty good, but I haven't heard a whole lot that I like so far.

Hm. Not too bad. I'll keep my eye open for this project. You can definitely tell the Sevendust influence in the music

I think that's what I dig so much about it, that it keeps that Sevendust flavor while still being something new and different. Absolutely loving it!
Re: First post in the Projected forum!
I guess that's my problem with this stuff... all I hear right now is Sevendust. I think if John decides to carry on & involve ERock more in the writing process then I think we'll see a huge progression.

Re: First post in the Projected forum!
I think it's an interesting contrast with the Call Me No One stuff that Morgan and Clint did, too. I just gave their album a listen earlier, and as much as I hate to say it, I was kinda disappointed. It was good, but to me it felt like a big blast of sound compared to this Projected music, which to me feels more dynamic and "catchy." And I hate to say that cause I LOVE Clint and Morgan to death. Maybe I just need to let it sink in a little more and give it another listen or two.

Yes, yes they are. Subforummed because Flip is the drummer, along with John Connelly (lead vocals and guitar) and Vince Hornsby (bass) from Sevendust, and Eric Friedman (backing vocals, guitar).Fletch wrote:Oh their a band my bad... carry on

Re: First post in the Projected forum!
Hey everybody! Thanks so much for checking out the music and site. really means a lot for ya'll to stop by and check out what's going on. Glad most seem to like what we've done. Flip and I have been close friends for quite some time and although we'd always talked about doing something together, we never really had the chance till now.
We kept it pretty low-key, without stressing too much over anything and kept it fun. At the end of the day, this is something that we did purely as a side project because AB, 7D and Creed are all our main priorities. Hopefully, we'll get a chance to do another record at some point and we can all actually write together from scratch and get everyone totally involved in the process from beginning to end. This time it was tough because of the Tremonti project and Creed tours happening at the same time, but I'm grateful to have such great friends and great musicians to help me make this record. I really couldn't have done it without all of them.
Thanks again for taking time out to check it out. Much respect to all of you!!

Dammit I keep misspelling ConnOlly's last name, too. I'm probably thinking of Chris Connelly from the good old days of MTV.
