Well... the contest was ruined by several people bumping their own votes. Jim (10topprs) & I had no choice but to do the same to keep up because we were top 3... so I'm not sure what John is going to do. After we caught up whoever it was stopped bumping (I'm not mentioning names or numbers) & the votes after that were all legit.
EDIT: Update from John...
Ok, so vote all you want, it won't really matter at the end of the day lol. Fairest way to do this is go by the band vote and we will consider fans votes and likes as I've had the opportunity to watch things as they've transpired.
I've also decided to include Elsa Martinez's submissions because she was a little late due to circumstances beyond her control and she was on an army base and I have soft spot for our armed forces.
We are going over all the entries now and will come to a decision later tonight. Votes can continue but will only have a small bearing on the decision.
Thanks again to all who've submitted!! Your artwork is truly inspiring! Stay tuned!!

That's a sensible way to do it to avoid pranks. Talenthouse.com has done some contests that way, where the band has the final say for pit photographers or art, but the votes help narrow it down.

I wonder if it would have worked better to just upload them all into one new folder on FB at the same time, and go by the number of likes on each one? Then you know each person is only voting once (or twice if they're a freak with two different FB accounts). Just sad that people have to act that way when someone is being THAT cool and giving fans such an awesome opportunity. I hate people.
Either way, it's best that the band have the final say anyway. Fan votes aren't always the most accurate depiction of quality... obviously.

That's a good idea. I think John talked to his attorney & he said Facebook wouldn't allow contests anymore for whatever reason.

Thanks for the support guys! In the end I'm glad the band had the final say... polls like that never work out. The same thing happened here when we had our contests lol can't wait to get my hands on the record... John is such cool guy.
