Buenos Aires baby!!! Shame the guys are coming 2 weeks after Slash swings by, there could have been fun with all of them together.
Re: Creed @ South America

Re: Creed @ South America
The venue in Buenos Aires is a small basketball stadium, probably about 7000 tickets. The sound is excellent inside though, so it should be a good show.
Whether it will sell out or not is another matter. I've been there when it's full for Slash, and when it's been nearly empty for Alice Cooper. They don't put bands there because they think 7000 is the right number, just that they have a deal with the promoters to play there.
Generally when bands come to Buenos Aires now, they play two shows. One at this place, and one "intimate" show at a different venue, a small theatre with higher prices. They usually announce that show after the tickets for the first one go on sale, so that people buy tickets for both. So watch this space.

Sao Paulo's Credicard Hall receives 9,000 people, I think.

Re: Creed @ South America
And to finish off Cesargil's excellent post:
Microestadio Malvinas Argentinas (that hurts to type!)
inside:
And a shameless plug for my video on my old phone of Slash and Myles (featuring a preliminary version of Anastasia in the solo) at the same venue last year.:

The excuse is that it shows the awesome sound in there.
This year I have a phone with a HD camera, and I'l going to record Tremonti shred that place's face off.

Wow @ some of those photos. Reminds me of the venues Creed used to play back in 2001.
Re: Creed @ South America
I don't know about Argentina. Do you think the Buenos Aires show is going to get a good amount of people, Jon?

Re: Creed @ South America
I don't think so, sadly. They are offering 2 for 1 on tickets from the start, the prices are lower than other shows, I've seen 0 adverts so far for the show, and they don't seem to be selling the back of the arena. I'd love to be wrong, but I expect it to be about half full.George wrote:I don't know about Argentina. Do you think the Buenos Aires show is going to get a good amount of people, Jon?
Re: Creed @ South America
I see. That's bad...it seems to me that the Peru show is going to sell well.
I think I am coming to one more show, the Rio one! Just earned my two tickets that I won in a contest last year for the Stapp show. I'm coming with two friends and there are A LOT of friends that I've met since 2003/2004/2005, so...I am pretty happy about those shows. It's gonna rock!

Re: Creed @ South America
To follow up on this, the 2 for 1 tickets were for the first 200 purchases with a special card. After three full days of sale (Tuesday-Wednesday-Thursday), they still haven't sold those tickets. For most concerts, they sell out in the first morning. I would say that about 500 tickets have been sold in 3 days so far.George wrote:I see. Very disappointing, but understandable. Remember that there are a LOT of bands coming right now, so people are short on cash, and there has been 0 promotion. The cheapest ticket is about $40 US.
I'd also like to make it clear in advance that I'm not being negative for the sake of it, I'm going to that show in Buenos Aires, I've bought my ticket and I'm going to enjoy it. I'd love for that place to be full of fans, but I just don't see it happening.
Re: Creed @ South America
This is the amazing Coliseo de Puerto Rico, with over 18,000 from capacity:
