I'm not usually the guy to jump to Stapp's defence but we gotta keep in mind this was the first time they pulled it out live. We all know new songs played on tour always sound better at the tail end of a tour than at the beginning. And I don't quite get this smoking thing.. a good number of my favorite singers smoke and they still sound fine.

Heres another video.. I like this song a lot, especially the lyrics, although I do feel they could have done a lot more with the song, that chorus distortion is lame... anyhow, this video is much better, Stapp did a decent job, not great but not bad either... Seems like Tremonti is having some good time playing this song...

Smoking over long periods of time tends to make your voice deeper, so I think that's why Scott can struggle at times on hitting high notes. His lower register seems pretty good to me, but he can still be off pitch at times when he tries to reach higher causing his voice to strain. But yeah, he probably hasn't sung this song much in about 3 years, so it's not like this performance was some normal occurrence he does everyday.

So you're saying that if zaz smokes he'll eventually sound like a man when he talks? :lol

I actually don't think he sounded too bad there. And I'll be the first to admit when he's singing like William Hung.

It makes a pretty decent live track. It's a shame that some of the great songs on FC will never be appreciated by the audience as much as their old stuff.

Someone should have asked that girl near the camera to stop screaming... this isn't a Bieber show :lol

Ugh...sounds like he's singing with his nose. Doesn't even compare to shows in April when he was kicking ass, I honestly can't even listen to these performances

It's definitely not bad.. Still better than anything from 2009-2010, but what's up with his hands movement? :lol

I was at this concert and I had seen them live in 2010 but they were incredible last year. I love concerts at places like the house of blues, better sound I think. I met mark after the show, such a nice guy. He seemed to really care about what I had to say and kept thanking me for my comments and for coming to the show. It's obvious that stapp isn't as great as he used to be but to be honest he sounds great when you're at a concert. Plus Like a Storm and Eve to Adam were great as well!
