In december 2010, he had a webcam chat with fans, and he played a few snippets from his solo album demos :

I think you might be coming a little too harsh on Stapp on this.. While I agree the guy hasn't been able to do much yet with his solo career in terms of good new music, but those clips were just demos.. nothing more.... they were recorded in Stapp's studio .. not mixed, mastered, or anything.. I think they were only ideas waiting to be worked on further... Am sure Stapp would have recorded the entire thing again... Hope he finds good musicians to do that with.. Really think he should team up with Erock cuz of his blues roots... a couple of songs from those snippets sounded heavy/groovy though not finished... having said that, I do agree Stapp needs to really step up his game when it comes to his solo career... I'd rather have him form another band with great musicians..

@joealexio Calm down Joe. @Creed follows NO ONE my friend. That's how @Creed wants it 2be. Instigate drama & get BLOCKED.

That was in response to fan about Creed's twitter feed. Creed's twitter is following 4 today, including Stapp's wife and his book twitter.

This has been bothering me for a while, so I might as well say it now-

Creed fought for years to get back their official twitter, now it seems that Stapp is running it! The tweets come mostly from the same twitter client that Stapp uses (twitbird) and the creed account only retweets Stapp and not the other band members.

This makes no sense. They can't get someone to do their social media properly? I am sure someone would volunteer for it!

This is not a slam on Stapp, at least he is doing something, but should it really be him???

I don't think Mark and the other guys want to deal with the official band accounts, they just use their personal stuff. Stapp probably does run the Creed one some now, but I'm not sure who runs their Facebook page. I thought they had PR guys doing some of the accounts.

I always wonder if marks million "thanks *insert name here"" tweets are from him, or someone else... If I was a million dollar rock star, I would mix up my replys really instead of sending 347 thanks, with a few straggler long tweets here and there..

Does it bother anyone else that Stapp always leaves his thumb out when he does the horns? Maybe I'm nitpicking...

I don't think Stapp is doing the horns sign. He is doing a gesture that looks like the horns but is actually something like an "I love" sign.

Here's what I got from wiki.
ILY sign combines the letters 'I', 'L', and 'Y' from American Sign Language by extending the thumb, index finger, and little finger while the middle and ring finger touch the palm. It is an informal expression of love.

From an interview from 1999:
Tremonti calls Stapp's lyrics "pretty intense," but says that the band's reputation for spirituality is something that he, bassist Brian Marshall and drummer Scott Phillips generally ignore. "The only time we've really dealt with it is doing interviews," he claims. "When we're writing music or playing live, it really doesn't come into play at all. We're just a rock band. Scott's the real spiritual one in the band."
Pretty intense they were, the lyrics.

Another quote from 2000:
"Scott writes 90 to 95 percent of the lyrics, and he was brought up in a real religious family," Tremonti said

contrary to what was said after the break up, that Mark used to write most of the lyrics.

When did Mark claim he wrote most of the lyrics?

Even when he was on "That Metal Show" in 2012 he said that Stapp "was a great lyricist" and that basically all of the spiritual input in the lyrics came from Stapp.

Michael Tremonti has stated that Mark wrote most of the lyrics on the old forum if I remember right.

I don't think so. All I remember is that Michael once said that Mark wrote Torn on his own, including the lyrics.
