Blistered lyrics by me

Two steps closer, a thousand steps away
*Wake to the system till I don't know the way
My hands blistered but now numb to the pain
My mind twisted in this cruel democracy
But now I'm free, now I'm free

Feels like a thousand years taken from me
Choose my priorities but they're shoved in my face
My destiny in life so far away, so far away
But now I'm free, now I'm free

Oh I guess it was a good ride
Looking back I feel the same
I guess it was the last time
No regrets, who's to blame

Showed me how to live my life now
Very different from my own
A simple explanation
Further from the toll home

I'm leaving now, I said I'm leaving now
I said I'm leaving now and I got no place to go
Oh yeah
I said I'm leaving now, I said I'm leaving now
I said I'm leaving now and I got no place to go

But now I'm free
Now I'm free
Now I'm free, yeah
Now Im free, yeah

Currently #18 on Itunes rock album chart. Not bad I guess considering the lack of promotion.

Looking on Walmart's web site, it says the seller of the item is "Walmart.com" and when you click on "pick up in store" it says available December 4th (at least within 50 miles of me).

Also note- I just placed an order for it today on Walmart.com to have it shipped to me. When I placed it, the web site said "Hurry only 19 left in stock"
same here...all of the closest stores to me, within 50 miles, say available december 7/8 for in-store pickup.

what a shitty fucking release. not the songs or anything, but the fact they release it on disc as a walmart exclusive, so it's only available at walmarts, and it's not even available at ANY stores on release day. wow. what a major fail.
I found it in a Walmart in Vancouver, WA so it does exist in stores. I thought something was weird about the whole situation so I called 2 walmarts and asked them to look for it and 1 of them had it, I was surprised.

And then, below one of the demos there:
Wish they would have finished this instead of making a another crappy Alter Bridge record. The demos are great on this!! Love the music

Why : not liking it. It's too grunge-y and aggressive.

More Than This (or should we call it Too Far Gone ?) : I enjoy the opening riff, as well as the clean guitar breakdown. Stapp's vocals aren't very good, and he's doing this weird thing with his throat once again when he's over-singing (1:13, 1:27). Not a fan of the echo on vocals. In the end, I like the fact that Mark tried to go into 2001 Creed mode once again, but there are still glimpses of the Alter Bridge sound here and there.
Too bad the band didn't have the chance to work more on this song and properly release it on their next album. Definitely a missed opportunity.

This acoustic version of To Whom It May Concern is really good.

Just FYI - walmart.com says it is not available in any stores around me, but when I went to the store, they had them on the shelf. If you're looking for it, just call or go to your local store and see if they have it.

It sounds like "Why" was dropped because the bridge sounds like the one in "Sister". Pretty good track though.

Good call, I didn't notice the similarity to Sister until you mentioned that.

Also, More Than This has grown on me, I can't stop playing it.

I liked the three songs so much. I felt so happy to hear Creed songs, even being old. More Than This sounds amazing for me, specially because I didn't feel like it's an Alter Bridge song sang by Stapp and his voice sound pretty good and way better than the FC album.

Blistered and Why are also amazing. Better than Sister and In America IMO.

Sister was always one of my favorites. No way in hell Why is better than that song.

Man. These songs give me goosebumps. Mark, someone, put ALOT of old school Creed sound in More Than This. It doesn't sound like alter bridge, and it's the first "new" Creed since the reunion that sounds like Creed.

I dig it.

The lead guitar part that kicks in at 0m57 sounds like AB to me, and the echo on vocals is not something i'm used to hear on a Creed song, whereas it's on every AB song out there.
But aside from that, I'm really digging the main riff as well as the clean guitar part that starts at 2mn22.

That's the signature Elvis echo. lol It actually enhances the melody though in this case imho.

Just listened to Why again. Love that grungy sound MOP era creed had. I'm glad this song was released
