Brian Marshall was kicked out of Creed because 33% is more than 25%.

According to my knoweledge, media was reporting shit like what's quoted here. you can clearly see how the companies were formed both by Stapp and Tremonti, yet only Stapp was being blamed. Even now Tremonti has his own publishing company. I don't see the harm in it, but anyways Brian had to sue something, he sued.


"But in June 1998, Stapp began creating companies that gave him-not the entire band-other streams of income, according to the suit. For example, Stapp and Tremonti created Tremonti/Stapp Music Inc., making the two band members sole beneficiaries from music publishing royalties from Creed's music.

A deal with Wind-Up Entertainment Inc. gave Stapp, Tremonti and their newly formed company additional financial advances and royalties.

The following year, Stapp and Tremonti created Scream Line Merchandise Inc. to operate and manage the sale of Creed merchandise.

And that Pearl Jam bit was quite honestly deserved by Brian I guess? Din;t you see Myles kinda getting pissed when Brian was being a little obnoxious about one of the countries they were playing in? I do agree Stapp could have put it in a much better way, but he probably din't want the entire band to be represented that way? And I believe it was later confirmed not just by Stapp, but by Tremonti and Flip as well that the reason for Brian's departure was Brian's lifestyle issues and the reason Brian and Stapp had problems was clearly cuz of Stapp's online post about Brian when Brian went nuts on the radio. Brian did say something for Stapp to be proud of though " Eddie Vedder wishes he could write like Scott Stapp."


I honestly feel that Stapp and Tremonti should have never really formed a separate copany to realise profits, kinda unfair to the entire band imo, even though the majority of the songs were written by them, but when they were sued, Stapp's name was highlighted.
