I think everyone has an opinion and whether they want to back it up is up to them. I'm an Alter Bridge die hard and I'm not into Creed but I respect the hell out of them and what they accomplished

Oh lord, the only reason Creed reunion happened in the first place was because financially it was a good move for Mark and company. MARK DID NOT WANTED TO PLAY IN CREED ANYMORE! And I don't think Flip or Brain really cared either way but the money was good. Once Myles made the connection with Slash Mark realized that Myles would be splitting time with Alter Bridge so reluctantly he entertained the idea of making another Creed record.

But then it hit him like a ton of bricks! I can just have my own band and work on my own material while Myles is touring with Slash. The money that he could make with Creed is not worth it to him! I'm done with that band is what he's saying. Its over people, Mark will never record another Creed song if he has anything to say about it.

Eh, you're right and you're wrong.

First of all, it's not like the reunion tours were that lucrative. There's no way they brought in anywhere near as much revenue as the tours from their glory days. If they planned these reunion tours for money, it was out of necessity. I don't think any of us realize quite how much debt the guys incurred to buy out AB's Wind-Up/Universal contracts.

Second, Creed had already reunited and started touring Full Circle before Slash even got in touch with Myles. If you'll recall, Myles was using the Creed downtime to record his solo album. The Slash stuff came quite a bit later. Of course, it did ultimately work out from a scheduling perspective, since the Slash tours gave Creed much more time to tour as well.

Now that the Rockline interview has been posted (check it out here, I'm unlocking the thread. Stapp's comments are at around 14:30 during the third clip.

We have stripped out all the nonsense that went on earlier this week. Hopefully we can continue the discussion in a CIVILIZED manner. We'll be monitoring this thread closely.
