I think the original plan was to go on a hiatus and not breakup

I remember seeing an interview on TV shortly after the breakup where Mark said that Alter Bridge wouldn’t be playing any Creed songs, but that he didn’t have a problem with Scott playing them. I doubt if I can find the interview when it was so long ago.

Does anybody have this recording of the interview? He tweeted about it too but I can't find it. Pollstar.

“I wanted to go into a situation where it felt like a band, hammering out songs, being real with one another and calling out crap. I didn't want ‘Yes men.’ I was tired of that in my life. I appreciate people speaking the truth and I wanted it in the creative process.”
Good.
Though he had previously released two solo albums, Stapp says he considers 2019’s The Space Between The Shadows his first solo record because he was present in his “mind and body and soul. I was stable in my life. I had a purpose and I had a band again.”
I remember him saying that in a way, he was glad that Creed was on hiatus again, because the whole situation led him to write and record Proof of Life. He was also really proud of that record before it flopped...
We’re getting ready to launch my second single.
Who is he trying to fool?
Has he forgotten that he sent Name to radios, and that the track barely got any airplay?

By the way, I've seen on his Instagram that the next single would be Survivor, and that it would "impact" radios next spring.

On this 360 degrees interview, Stapp reflects about Creed's success, the importance of family when success hits, and taking it all for granted.

He also says he talked to the Creed guys on Facetime at a charity golf tournament.
According to this post, it happened just a couple of week ago:

Wonder what his special announcement is on Monday? He said a week or so ago he was posting dates soon. Maybe the special is something extra special. Maybe it isn’t.

Some Kmart Bowl football thing or something was pushing on Twitter to get Creed for a halftime show?

My bet is that he will just announce a new solo tour.
Yannis commented on his post and said "Yes!!", so I guess he's part of it.

I hope someday the interviewer will ask Scott if he has ever attended an AB show. Assuming Scott hasn't and says "no", then ask why not? If Slash can attend and even guest play at an AB show; I would sure think Scott could support his guys as well. Even Mark could attend a Stapp show and even guest on a Creed tune. If they are really "all good" then why not when the stars align occasionally. Maybe I am crazy for thinking this, I dunno.

Yeh if they were “good” it wouldn’t be almost ten years since they’ve done anything whatsoever.

I think they're "good" in the sense that they're not around each other to make each other miserable, IMO. I would absolutely love to be wrong, but I really don't think another Creed reunion will ever happen.

Yeah, it's quite obvious that Scott and AB aren't friends at all. I suppose they more or less ignore each other. Furthermore you can't really compare Slash to Scott Stapp regarding their relationship to AB.

Yeah, I think when Slash/Myles/Conspirators was in Orlando, last year, someone said that Mark was at the show. Of course, there were times where Slash was there for an AB show (and has played on stage with them). Myles showed up unannounced for a Tremonti show in England before he did a solo tour there. Flip was at a Tremonti show in Orlando as well (I think it was back in 2018). Erock played on stage with AB at the LA show two weeks ago.

Don't think you would see anyone in AB there for a Stapp show or vice-versa.

I remember that his wife and his son Jagger attended an AB show a few years ago in Nashville(I think) but he wasn't with them.
