From what I hear, that drummer hits much harder than Flip.
I'm not sure it's necessarily a good thing for Creed music. Same for the fills. The guy's got skills, and he's probably a very solid hard rock drummer, but Flip added some subtilty to the music, which I'm not hearing here.

Here's a rare interview from Stapp on the o'Reilly factor in april 2002, 3 weeks before his car accident.

It starts at the 16th minute.

Stapp was pretty much on the money in the interview. Was fearing he was going to say something stupid but manson and ICP are merely just phases people go through.

What kind of drugs was he on during this interview though? No way was he blinking like that for no reason. Who blinks that much?

Or somebody who'd been made aware of his blinking just before the interview started.

Some people just blink a lot.
Having said that, now that nagpo has mentioned this, I can't see anything else!

I've never seen him blink that much in any other interview.

High or not, Stapp spoke sensibly on the matter in my opinion.

Here is a full show from may 22nd 2017 :

It's almost a pro-shot video, meaning there are a few cameras (some of which are in the audience) and a soundboard recording.
I have listened to a few bits here and there, and he seems so struggle with the higher notes.

Jeez, O'Reilly is such an uninformed asshole. Constantly interrupted Scott.

Stapp did some writing with Dan Spitz recently.

I like early Anthrax, and Dan Spitz's leads were awesome back in the day, but he was never the creative force of the band, and the recent project he had (Red Lamb) sounded awfully generic.
I don't know, it's a strange choice for Stapp. They have nothing in common stylistically.

I guess we'll see. One could say the same thing about the band members of Art of Anarchy but that worked out well. AoA proved that he can do more than a creed sound.

One thing I just realized is I was under the impression he would be writing strictly with his lead guitarist from the solo tour, the greek guy - I forgot his name. They were saying they were working on something. Guess it isn't the case.

Being a great guitar player on a technical point doesn't necessarily mean you can write a good song...

As Bumblefoot showed on the AoA record.

In case you've never seen it, here's a live version of Sublime on a TV show, shot in may of 2006

It was pretty bland imho. Especially Bumblefoot's riffs and tone in general really disappointed me. The guitars sounded as if they used 20 dollar Walmart amps.

You're contradicting yourself. Previously you said that he was good technically on guitar but a bad songwriter, but in this post you're claiming he is also bad technically on guitar.

Do you just not like Bumblefoot?
