Yeah, this is a really great song... Perfect for Scott's voice and singing style, IMO. More songs like this please.

The guitar intro sounds too much like U2 for me.

Yeah it is definitely very U2-ish with its dotted 8th note delay on the guitar part.

U2 is one of Stapps favorite bands so this doesn't surprise me.

This new stuff is bad and him talking about Chris Cornell like they were friends is gross. (Also he mentions other "friend" Chester Bennington dying a year after Chris. It was two months.)

Interesting how much publicity Stapp gets. Alter Bridge in contrary is only topic in Rock- and Metal media.
Is there anything known abouts Stapp's relation to Chris Cornell and Chester Bennington?

Gone too soon is a beautiful power ballad perfect for live show sing along. Surprising it got not so many views. I never heard Chris or Chester ever mention Scott like a friend or at all. But Scott admire Chris so much that he rank him the greatest vocalist of this generation.

How come Gone Too Soon not release via Napalm?

Stumbled upon some previews for all the tracks at Juno Records:

Quality isn't great but if you're curious - hop over and listen :).

Just had my first listen to the album. I would say this is the most positive album Scott ever put out and most beautiful too. Music wise it is average. Vocal wise very good except for Mary's Cry. I don't like how they tweak his voice to go up. Melody wise as usual Scott delivers. World I used to Know, Last Hallelujah, Heaven in Me and Ready to Love stood out for me. I can relate the most to Ready to Love with the numerous second chances I got and still I got someone stood by me. I love all the songs and would recommend.

I just grew up on a lot of boy bands because it's all my sister listened to for a period of time, so it gave me a chuckle when I saw that part. But I can see how my comment came off as demeaning towards Stapp, sorry about that.
Oh your comment didn't come off as making fun of Stapp, I can understand that effect that boy bands used in their music videos in this one (my sister also listened to a lot of boy bands when I was a kid).

My additional thoughts was more on me commentating, regarding how the general public may perceives Scott Stapp these days, how I felt that the song is a decent song and that if Stapp wants to continue making music and is healthy, why not?
Oh, gotcha! And totally agree.

Best solo work Stapp has done IMO. I Personally wish it was heavier, but it’s a great mid tempo album with some heavy. Nothing on this album is overly cheesy, and lyrically...,, if Stapp wrote all or most this stuff..... he can still write a damn good song.

Very happy with this and very happy for Scott Stapp as a frontman, with or without Creed. Can’t wait to see him in Charlotte and hear these new tunes.

Stapp sings the word “Cauterize” on this album. Kind of stood out lol. That Survivor song is badass. Should be a single.

I mean given that this album's main theme looks to revolve around healing and recovering, the word cauterize makes sense. Anyway, I actually like this album. Yeah, the music wouldn't look out of place in Sirius XM Turbo and I highly doubt Octane will give any songs from this album a look. Stapp sounds nice and does sound like a guy that is on the up and up positively.

Purpose for Pain has done relatively well. I think it's his highest charting single on rock radio since The Great Divide.

Purpose for Pain doing as good as Wouldn’t You rather?

Stapp has the superior single, honestly....

I’m going to buy the album, but I don’t have it yet, and I was looking to listen to the songs on YouTube. I haven’t been able to find any of them yet. Has anyone been able to find the full songs online?
