STP seemed like a silly rumor anyways. He doesn't have the right voice for it.

I guess that now confirms he's the new Art of Anarchy singer.
Meh, it sounds like a second rate band to me.
A full on country album would have made more sense.

Been drinking a little, decided to browse creed 2009 and 2010 videos. Got to see them in Atlanta both years. Was 16 and 17 for the shows. In the pit. Man. I remember looking behind me and seeing 18,000 people, and just being in awe. Was amazing. Kind of bummed out that to be realistic, creed will likely never happen again. Never gonna get to see them again. What a show those were. Stapp wasn't best vocally, but damn.... Creed. Creed was the fucking shit b

I listened to one Art of Anarchy song. I liked the verse, but the song sounded a bit repetitive.

Now it's confirmed. From Stapp's Facebook:
What's up, Stapp here, I wanted to clarify any confusions on STP and my comment. First off, Scott Weiland in STP is irreplaceable. I was recently asked what I'm currently working on in an interview and could not reveal details or announce this new project. This led the interviewer to assume it was STP and he eagerly kept asking for more details. Evidently my response caused confusion.

I'm excited to share I've been working with Art Of Anarchy band who's members are Ron "Bumble Foot" Thal, formerly of Guns N Roses, John Moyer of Disturbed and Jon and Vince Votta. Original announcement was slated for July along with our first single and album to follow but happy to share this announcement sooner to clarify.

Art Of Anarchy is the project that I was referring to in the interview not STP. Scott Weiland was a part of Art of Anarchy and that's the six degrees of separation I was referring to. Always been a fan of STP and I wish them all the best in their search for a new singer.

Allow me to introduce Art Of Anarchy. Stay tuned

Pretty cool. I listened to their debut when it was released, and while it wasn't groundbreaking, it was pretty enjoyable, so I'm really curious what they're gonna come up with.

It was kind of unfair how STP fans were treating Stapp over a rumor. I mean, even if you don't like stapp as a singer nothing had been confirmed. There was nothing sustaining the rumor other than misleading title blurbs on crummy websites.

And it's not even like stapp would have stolen anything from weiland - he's already dead. You'd think STP fans would have been use to this with chester actually having taken the role before. It was an unfair response by the fans and quite immature.

Stapp responded with maturity and class.

The Internet tends to have immature people on it.

Real life, too.

I tried to listen to the Art of Anarchy album in its entirety yesterday, and it's really bland.
I've wanted him to start a new band for a while, and I hope he'll take this project as seriously as Creed. He's a great frontman that still has a career ahead of him, but if he wants this band to have its own flavour, he'll have to restrain himself from playing any Creed song with them, EVER.
That's how Alter Bridge differentiated itself from Creed.
That's how Tremonti differentiated itself from Alter Bridge.

I wish them all the best, even though their music may not be my cup of tea.

I hope the band finds a new identity with Stapp in and its just not the case of hiring him to cut an album and tour.

Here's a video from the current tour

It's not the hardest song to sing, but his voice is as good as it's gonna get from now on.
Stopping smoking was a smart idea.

New AOA single in late June.

Sounds a lot better in with arms wide open than he has in the past not a good his heyday but definitely a thousand times better than he's sounded when he was smoking , probably one of the best decisions he's made to stop he sounds very good especially for being 20 years later

Bullets and Proof of Life with a decent sound

Overcome

What if

Torn (incomplete and muffled)

Still pitchy here and there, but his voice is much much clearer than it used to be when he smoked.
What if, in particular, is one of the best interpretations of this song I've heard in years.

Man that solo in Overcome really sucks. Nice shredding skills tho.
Stapp sounds pretty good. Of course he lacks the energy of past days, still he sounds like a solid singer again.

I hate the extreme reverb. Sounds like my electronic zoom pedal effects.
