Re: The Official SCOTT STAPP Thread
Is stapp any worse than having the lead singer of linkin park as your lead singer?

To most people... Yes.
Chester is a good singer in a shitty band. Stapp is a shitty singer in a good band. At least that's what most people think about them.

I actually thought Chester fitted well with STP well for the amount of time he was with them.
Re: The Official SCOTT STAPP Thread
This is a really good interview that Stapp did on the Opie and Jimmy show. He really goes into deal about what he was thinking and what he did during the month long period when he was driving around the country and out of his mind. It starts at about the 21:15 mark.

Interesting. The part about the 10 foot tall angel with a sledgehammer bashing his own hand telling him what to do was truly horrifying.

Re: The Official SCOTT STAPP Thread
If Stapp still had some pipes i.e. Woodstock '99 he could pull off STP. Easily
However, if he's gonna do the "nasal-y" voice then no

Re: The Official SCOTT STAPP Thread
If he joins the STP bandmates, I hope it's for a new project, and not to play the STP songs. Enough with the karoake already !
What about the Sevendust guys ? Are they busy this year ? I've seen Stapp was rooting for them at the Grammys.
I also looked at his twitter, and he added those guys recently
I don't know if their bands are still active, but forming a country band with a guy from Hootie and the Blowfish and two other ones from Lady Antebellum kinda makes sense.
By the way, I looked at a couple of videos with Stapp's new guitar player. That guy can SHRED !

Good energy from Stapp and from the crowd.
Just tell the rhythm guitar player to stop chewing gum on stage. And tell Yannis P. to work on his clean guitar tone. It's crazy none of Stapp's guitar players can ever get it to sound right (it's blatant during the part where the crowd is singing).

Good catch !
I guess it's an alternate mix.

Yes. That Fact or Fiction video was pretty good. So Creed V also failed because Stapp relapsed.chtimixeur wrote:Good catch !

So much for the "it was all Mark's fault" theories.

There is a clarity in his voice that wasn't there before.
It's still pitchy here and there, but you can tell he has stopped smoking.

Re: The Official SCOTT STAPP Thread
I see hints of a performer that I remember. The voice needs to get stronger, its still pitchy, but stapp has a clarity now that I don't remember seeing in years.

Re: The Official SCOTT STAPP Thread
That guitarist is so likable. I loved the bridge and last chorus of Faceless Man. Scott was pitchy as hell, but they were all so into it.

Re: The Official SCOTT STAPP Thread
I don't think this will ever happen again. I don't even know if Myles will ever get his amazing voice from the AB beginnings back. The only thing Stapp can do is to keep fit enough so he can make it through his gigs without looking and sounding like a moron (Creed live DVD).Them Bones wrote:The voice needs to get stronger
The guitarist seems to be a good muscian. I hope he will be involved in Stapps upcoming solo work so he won't release some overly cheesy shit.
