Yeah it sounded very similar. There are just a few times where he hits lower notes, but I think he may do this purposefully.

Here's a radio acoustic performance, with a new guitar player who sounds tight (his name is Sammy Boller).

Stapp has a bit of grit in his voice, which is also nice.

He liked the Instagram post with the new guitar player that was posted by Stapp, and he has a new book coming out, so I guess he had to promote it this week and will be back soon.

@alterbridge86: wow, the end really took me by surprise. IMHO, this song works better acoustically, and this is how it should have been recorded.

Stapp giving goosebumps in 2019. Never thought I’d see the day. He’s absolutely on fire this year. Wow

By the way, it's the easy thing to bash Stapp's musicians, and many of his haters do, but I think they're doing a more than decent job.
It would really bum me out to hear Mark ruin the Creed songs once again tempo-wise and ton-wise if there was a Creed reunion. If you ever do it, do it right!

Just a heads up - Face of the Sun will premiere tomorrow! Here's a placeholder for the visualizer video:

Meanwhile, in an effort to uncover anything new, ran across these videos on Vimeo set to the song "Wake Up Call". Seems to be a promotion for ChildFund, with footage from the recent trip to Ecuador:

Narrative video (music mixed with narrative in between): https://vimeo.com/338357842
Music Video (just the song and imagery): https://vimeo.com/337995165

As for the song, I like it, but be forewarned it is NOT a rock song...I'll leave it at that :)

So I found out that Stapp is playing a show in Montclair, California in September in a venue in the Montclair Mall that looks like bands like POD, Puddle of Mudd, Vince Neil of Motley Crue, Lita Ford, etc. had played in. Tickets looks to be at $50.00 including fees. I think this is a pass for me. My September is too loaded, plus the venue doesn't look like it has a solid reputation like The Wiltern or the House of Blues.

Face of the sun is available in Australia now. Sounds pretty good. It's definitely a rocker. Catchy chorus too.

Wake up call is not so good IMO. I guess we have to expect some of the softer songs too.

Wake up call sucks. It doesn't sound like a stapp song. I wonder if he bought it from someone like he did new day coming. The song sounds like every other pop trite I hear on the radio. The only thing about it that's original is his voice. The lyrics aren't even good and that's usually where he shines.

I haven't heard face of the sun yet but the teaser sounds promising. I'll share my opinion tomorrow when I hear it or if i can find it sooner

Getting really strong Lifehouse vibes on Wake Up Call. I agree, the lyrics, especially the chorus don't sound like something Stapp would write. Very basic. Not good or bad just indifferent. I guess if this has to be the song that features the kid choir on it, I'm fine with that.
