I don't know... saying a 60 second preview is better than Ghost is a bit unfair if you ask me. Love the song so far though. :)

I'll be honest, I love the sound of 'New Way Out.' My favorite of the bunch so far.

We can all at least agree that the lead break in NWO (haha, sweet acronym) is more inspired than the one in GODGB.

Gonna go ahead and assume this'll be the best album Tremonti's been a part of since ODR. I'll jump the gun, I don't care. :lol

Thanks for the video.
This makes me realize this riff had much more potential, had it been correctly produced (I hear a Slayer vibe).

And what I don't understand is that Mark is extremely knowledgeable and picky about amps, tones and sounds in general. It's beyond me why his albums sound terrible. You would think he'd have some of the best sounding stuff (in terms of recording/production) out there.

Agreed. Hearing NWO for the first time reminded me of hearing Broken Wings for the first time in that they both blew me away. Mark is one of the only song writers who continuously, album after album, writes melodies that inspire and amaze me.

I don't understand. People keep talking like they've heard the full songs? Has the album leaked or something?

People are only talking about the previews that have been posted on YouTube. If the album had leaked you'd know about it.

I don't what everyone is talking about with the guitars sounding horrible on the album. I think they sound great. I actually think Marks live tone is kinda ugly. But it always seems amazing when Im actually at the concert...so maybe it's just bad recordings.

Some people are weird with samples. Imo.

It's because it's not everyone, it's a couple of people who seem to generally think everything Mark Tremonti has done since 2004 sounds horrible. Obviously though since the majority of Alter Bridge's stuff was done after then, them saying it sounds horribe means if you like Alter Bridge you can expect that to mean they sound pretty good.

I do agree that, for the amount of gear Mark has, his sound isn't all that great. It's not bad, still quite good at times, but you'd expect it to be better with all that equipment.

The lead is definitely more complex... I'll give it that but I'm going to wait until I hear the entire song before I put it over Ghost or any other song Mark has been involved with. Don't get me wrong I LOVE what I'm hearing but comparing a sample to a full length song is crazy.

I have to side with jared, but on the same note I also have to say that i've never been this impressed with 30 second samples before (i.e. Full Circle & ABIII)
