What's the next single?
What's the next single?
When it comes time to pick the next single, which do you guys prefer?
Re: What's the next single?
The things I've seen FTW
Re: What's the next single?
My preference - Leave It Alone
What it will be - The Things I've Seen or So You're Afraid (they'll be the next two singles I'd reckon)

For all of the hope that it brings...

Re: What's the next single?
I think So You're Afraid really needs to be heard by people. That chord progression in the verse (as well as the pre-chorus) just has a different vibe to it then a lot of stuff I've heard on the radio recently and I like that kind of originality.

Very hard to choose but I'm picking The Things I've Seen!! Very emotional and there has been a very good response already! One that will be a great sing along at the live shows! I'm also really digging Wish You Well and Decay!! The entire album ROCKS!! So thrilled!! =)

Too bad we can't take over radio stations and play the entire album for people.

What I would like to be a single: Live It Alone or The Things I've Seen
What I think makes sense to be a radio single: New Way Out.

If they want to go in a softer direction, New Way Out. If they want to keep things heavy, Wish You Well.
Gonna throw my vote out for the heavy one.

Based off of what Mark said/did at The Social last week, I'm going with The Things I've Seen.
Photobucket cash grab.
Re: What's the next single?
The Things I've Seen is my favourite song off of the album (or at least one of them), but I'm not so sure it'd be so great for a single. The melody is amazing and sticks in your head, and obviously I think it's a great song, but I don't know if it's right for a single. Especially for this album - a heavier song is required for it I think.
So You're Afraid would be quite good but I think it's very much in the same vein as You Waste Your Time. I voted for Wish You Well, i think it'd have a good chance.

I've got a feeling that it's a toss-up between 'Wish You Well' & 'New Way Out' - Both would make for fine singles

Re: What's the next single?
^ This. Really hoping for New Way Out to be the next single, and if they do release it, hope there'll be a decent video for it.
The 3rd single should either be Wish You Well or So You're Afraid. The 4th single should be Leave It Alone.

Re: What's the next single?
I don't think that there would be a lot of singles from that album. Probably 3 is a decent amount of them, judging from popularity of that album.

Re: What's the next single?
Despite the fact that I LOVE both "The Things I've Seen" and "New Way Out", I don't think either of them should be singles for this album. Since this is a much heavier album than his other bands I think he should focus more on heavier songs in order to differentiate this project. Along with "Proof", they're probably the most Creed-ish or Alter Bridge-ish songs. For this reason I'm actually surprised that they are getting so many votes here. "So You're Afraid" or "Brains" I think would do quite well and would be the best picks, in my opinion.
Re: What's the next single?
Yeah, I've got to agree. A heavier song is a must if they're going to release another one as a single. New Way Out would be a terrible choice to release as a single imo - it would completely undermine the idea of this being an album a bit heavier than Alter Bridge etc., and I think heavier songs seem to do much better than ballads for the audience singles will actually reach. So You're Afraid, Wish You Well, Brains, maybe even Leave It Alone - these would be best.

Kinda hope Mark doesnt aim for any kind of mainstream radio play with this record. Really hope he goes all out with the metal and releases songs like Wish You Well or So You're Afraid..
I'd rather keep gems like The Things Ive Seen and New Way Out on the record, personally.
