Agreed.Crumbso wrote:There really is a weight behind the song that has been missing from previous releases and I think it's because Mark is actually singing about SOMETHING rather than the usual angsty epithets.
Right there with ya, pal. Especially after this first track. Its a new take on the usual over-6-minutes type of track that they usually put out. Im excited to see what kind of stuff he throws at us with this new album. I wish Mark would contribute to the lyric/vocal writing more in AB, could be interesting to have a whole album of co-lead vocals.AB4Lyfe wrote: Honestly I’m more excited for new Tremonti than I was for The Last Hero.
I really hope that he will do some acoustic sessions this time.SHEAKENBAKEN wrote:Marks vocals, lyrics, and the vocal melodies are really amazing in this track. How he goes from agressive to soft so fluently
I really like marks voice when paired acoustically too so agreed.Mr. Slash wrote:I really hope that he will do some acoustic sessions this time.SHEAKENBAKEN wrote:Marks vocals, lyrics, and the vocal melodies are really amazing in this track. How he goes from agressive to soft so fluently

I feel like there's a change in who's speaking between the verses and the prechorus, because his pitch takes a pretty stark change between the two. That's why I'm curious to know if he's singing as different "voices" within respect to the story on this one.Ubik wrote:Agree with that. I love the more melodic parts in particular but I'm interested to know more about the change in attitude during them. Yea, the song seems like a dialogue between human and dying machine to me.Andy92 wrote:I feel like there's a change in who's speaking between the verses and the prechorus, because his pitch takes a pretty stark change between the two. I think it sounds pretty deliberate.Dolo wrote:Is there a vocal glitch @2:32? As if he'd wanted to sing further but somebody stopped him from doing so?
That's what I gathered from it, personally. I felt the heavy parts were from the machines perspective, while the soft parts were the human (possible the main character taking about a loved one).Andy92 wrote:Sci-fi plot twist: The humans are the dying machines.
