Favorite song(s) from Cauterize/Dust Cycle

Postby AHart96 » Sat Apr 30, 2016 7:30 pm

20 songs in a one year span, 2 albums worth of material. You may choose up to your top 5 songs from both albums (if you have that many...Jim). Let the debate begin! NOTE: I could only choose 14 options (15 including "other"), so if you don't see your favorite, don't freak out! My poll was based on what I feel are the most commonly liked songs

My top 5:
1. Unable to See
2. Tore My Heart Out
3. Providence
4. Radical Change
5. Dust

I would have voted for Betray Me and maybe Never Wrong. I didn't vote for Dark Trip above, but I love it.

This is really hard!

I would've if the poll would've allowed me to put in more than 15 options :shifty :shrug

:lol I'm not doing anything! It's a joke! I honestly don't know what kind of adjustments the Reds can make to the site anyways! Can they even change things like the number of poll options?

What's with all the hate towards The Cage (in reference to one of the other threads)? I actually really like that one so far.

Jim's -

1. Dust (one of Tremonti's best works in YEARS)
2. Betray Me
3. Once Dead
4. Never Wrong
5. The Cage

I really like this choice of 10 songs.. Some of the double kick intros leave me wondering what song I just pressed play to because they sound so similar, but the ones I've chosen are by far my favourites. 'Dust', as I said, is an absolute wonder. Really, really nice track. I'm glad it was put out into the world

This is hard! For me at this point:

Radical Change
Arm Yourself
My Last Mistake
Once Dead
Catching Fire

Flying Monkeys needs more love though!
And where is The Cage? That solo is amazing...

Flying Monkeys
Catching Fire
Radical Change
My Last Mistake
Sympathy

Falling more in love with Catching Fire the more I listen to it. The bridge guitar riffs starts out as classic Tremonti and then when the pounding starts shifts over to new Tremonti lol. The entire song doesn't sound like anything Tremonti has written before, which for me is refreshing.

Sympathy - This song pulls me in, I'm a sucker for the ballads. Great message Mark is getting out in the lyrics.
