I'm sorry, I was really looking forward to seeing it but that artwork looks fucking awful to the point where I'd throw out the album cover if I got the CD. Not only does it look visually unappealing, but it's also badly shopped.

So is he going to get Brian to cover the bass?

I think this is my favourite artwork Dan's made since the One Day Remains/Blackbird era.

I don't think it looks badly shopped at all.. I agree it's not pretty, but I think it fits perfectly with the musical style Mark's shooting for.

That's what Mark looks like with his hair grown out.

I don't like the reflection, I don't get why it's at an angle and so smooth if it's on water. Glad to get some clarification on the second half of the album though.

The reflection doesn't even line up with the edge of the face, it's at a severe angle which is optically wrong and only done so it leaves the boat alone, it's a simple stretch distort and transform where more work was needed, the boat gives off a shadow because of its position with respect to the light whereas the face in the same setup gives off a reflection, it's a mashup of a stock photo an actual piece of artwork which is hard to pull off, and he just slapped a semi-transparent layer over the top.

I totally would. I'll probably buy a digital copy now because that dude's face is likely printed on the CD itself.

None of those things don't really bother me. It might've been a better if the reflection was better done, from a logical point of view, but overal I still really like it. It's not like the Fortress cover where the letters were so awfully photoshopped on the cover that it was impossible for me to take seriously, even though I liked the background.

I'm sorry, I just find it very hard to believe that a hardcore fan of a band would forgo the completeness of his collection simply because the cover art of a particular album is not to his taste.

I think my initial reaction was just shock more than completely disliking it lol. I prefer the single artwork for Another Heart though. I wish the flaming boat was the centerpiece to the art.

The guy on the cover reminds me a little bit of part one to Stone Sour's House of Gold & Bones record. Looks disoriented and has some crazy hair going on lol.

That's what my hair looks like every morning. That's probably why the shock isn't as big here.

It's really the reflection on the water that's driving me nuts.

Put a ripple effect on it or something in photoshop.

I just looked at it right as Mark was bellowing "Find me another heart!" at the end of the song and did get fairly creeped out. Dude clearly needs sacrifices of some ilk to sustain that hair volume.
