Man.. bunch of haters around here. I haven't stopped listening to it. What are you all expecting from Mark exactly? This is dead on nails his style.

To be honest, I see this the opposite way.

A lot of people here devour whatever Mark/AB/Conspirators release, no matter how 'bad' it may be.

If somebody has an opinion, it's cool if you can respect it.

Not saying you all "hate" Mark. Just figured you all would actually be more excited for some new material instead of killing every single note the song provides. Yeah, the solo is what it is, but it doesn't mean the song sucks.

I appreciate his vocals and how much different they are and the bridge is fantastic. It's nice to hear the band actually come together.

I'm excited about it!!! Got accused of being a fanboy by someone several times because I like all that we've heard so far. Because I like Mark (he's my favorite guitarist for the last 18 years) and I'm excited for any and all new music from him.

I think it's a good song. I don't really have a reason to go crazy over it, but I don't have a reason to nitpick it either. It's a solid song.

You can call me a fan boy, but I literally like every song ever released by Alter Bridge/Tremonti. I don't think there is one bad song. Of course, I like some more than others. I don't like every Creed song though, and I'm not a fan of 70% of the Slash/Myles.

Just kinda going off the feeling, really. Somewhat because of there being two albums, the possible hype around that and how much touring he might be able to get in. Hopefully they start playing more of his stuff on the radio, not just Octane, although thats a great station.

I've played the song maybe 3 or 4 times with my fiancé when we've rode around, and the last time I played it, she was like "I loveeeeee this song!!"

Found it kind of surprising. She knows my Nashville experience meeting Mark, having my PRS signed by him not played since, etc..

But we haven't really listen to a lot of Tremonti.

I think ALOT of casuals could get interested if Another Heart was on the radio more!

After hearing 3 songs, I think choosing Another Heart as a first single was a smart decision.
Even though I prefer the riffs of Cauterize and Flying Monkeys, Another Heart is a better crafted song as a whole.

I agree, I don't think the outro of Cauterize fits with the song as well as the parts of Another Heart fit together.

I really like the idea of the outro of Cauterize. There's a link to the chorus, but it's still different and I don't think there's a Tremonti song that ends in a similar way. I just don't think the live versions sound that great.. I could do without Erock's improvisations and I don't really like Mark's tone (might also be because of the LQ recordings). I'm pretty sure it'll sound great on the record though.

Anyway, from the 3 I think Cauterize would've done the best. I don't think the riffs are too heavy, compared to bands like Five Finger Death Punch or Avenged Sevenfold, who do well on the radio, and the verses are super fun. Catchy chorus as well. Another Heart might be more of a pop song, but it's kinda average and just not that memorable (in my opinion).
