Tremonti's first single: Another Heart
Re: Tremonti's first single: Another Heart
Are you talking about the iTunes art or the lyric video?

The lyric video. They showed the single art in the video at the beginning. It was like a motion art thing, then it went into the lyrics with the art in the background, kinda.
Re: Tremonti's first single: Another Heart
I saw the video but wasn't sure if that contained the single art. If so, then yeah I know what you're talking about and it does look cool.

Not sure. I really liked it though, so I hope it's the album cover.
Can we talk about it? People are being really weird about it, lol.

No, it was the single art. Had "Another Heart" at the bottom.

I have it as my wallpaper... I had taken a screenshot of the art.

The elephant in the room. I hope Garrett's happy with himself.Timotheus wrote:Not sure. I really liked it though, so I hope it's the album cover.

For all of the hope that it brings...
Re: Tremonti's first single: Another Heart
Why shouldn't we be allowed to discuss it? A similar thing happened with Addicted to Pain (dat rhyme, tho).

Okay, cool. We'll see. I loved the style though.. Hopefully the album artwork will be similar. All the All I Was artworks looked kinda similar as well.joshuabeau wrote:No, it was the single art. Had "Another Heart" at the bottom.

If the style for the album artwork is the same... Oh, it could be awesome!
Re: Tremonti's first single: Another Heart
I think it was the single artwork too, but that's not a given. It also could've been a stripped down version of it.
Photobucket cash grab.
Re: Tremonti's first single: Another Heart
What's weird for me about the Cauterize album is that I want to hear it solely for Mark's voice to see how much it's improved. Based on the previews and Another Heart, his voice is becoming stupidly powerful.

Re: Tremonti's first single: Another Heart
Uh yeah.. At the end of Another Heart, I was like "Damn, did he really do that?!" His voice is soooo much better.
Re: Tremonti's first single: Another Heart
Does anyone else wish he would just go full metal for one song? What I mean by that is that most of his songs start out really metal-like but then the choruses hit and it seamlessly switches over to all-audiences -welcome rock. I'm not saying I want cookie monster vocals or anything, just want something brutally heavy from him.
Re: Tremonti's first single: Another Heart
^ That's been my main criticism of Tremonti's solo work since we first heard You Waste Your Time. In some ways I admire Mark's 'melody comes first' approach, but at the same time, I wish he would ditch it and just write a decent metal song. As you say, the intro will be a heavy riff, then it'll be disposed for a melodic verse, and all of a sudden there's a boomy chorus. It just doesn't work for me. But judging from what I've heard, I think I'll enjoy the new album more than All I Was.

Hahaha, that's a great way of describing those voices. But if you're not talking about the growling, can you link me to an example of what you're looking for by a different band? Even Slipknot will have melodic choruses so I'm not sure what you mean.JSlade wrote:I'm not saying I want cookie monster vocals
Re: Tremonti's first single: Another Heart
You are probably not going to like Another Heart, then. And as for the term cookie monster vocals, I can't take credit for that as I think that honor goes to Mark for inventing it. I can't really provide an example as I just want a Tremonti style metal song without the, dare I say it, radio rockness.BSC wrote:^ That's been my main criticism of Tremonti's solo work since we first heard You Waste Your Time. Flying Monkeys was a really great step towards getting away from that IMO. The verses stay in line with the chunky main riff, but again you have the boomy chorus (in his defense it is an extremely good chorus).
