The band stays in time live by listening to the drummer...but how do you suppose the drummer stays in time? ;)

Everyone records their parts to a click track in the studio. That's all that sound is.

I figured he was just listening to a recording of them playing a demo. What order is stuff generally recorded in? I'm guessing vocals are last, but are drums first?

Drums, bass, guitar, backing vocals, vocals

I guess the vocals can be either or

Usually drums first, but not every band does it that way. My dad was in a band once when the drummer had an emergency during the time they had the studio rented to record at, and they ended up having to do the drums last.

Sounds like some killer riffing! Very curious, but they could just tease us with the heavy stuff now... That last riff though, so heavy!

way to early to tell but I can see a "One day Remains" - "Blackbird" comparison... With AIW being a good album but then having T2 blow it out of the park lol

Wow, I did not expect such a lengthy teaser. You guys rock! :rockon

Can't wait for this.

Tim - if it's not too late, PLEASE push for Garrett's post-mistake "FUCK" to be used in the album somewhere. :lol

This is the impression I got from the video. Literally every riff in the video sounds better than AIW.

Frankly, it's too early to tell if it' going to be any good.
I just hope the songs will be a bit longer, more metal sounding, and that the choruses won't feel as out of place as on AIW.

That second riff is my favorite so far, sounds beastly.

I kept going back to listen to this every so often during the day.

Agree w/ #2 being my leading fave from what I heard but I'm really excited to hear more of the one at 0:55. Sounds like part of an intro but it still seems different than anything I was expecting on the album.

This is gonna be such a tight, polished album. Especially now that I know there's no cowbell :shifty

Hey! There's still a chance of cowbell. I mean, this isn't exactly a Slash record, but there could be a little.

Yeah, it's easy for a drummer to be out of time too (just watch the doc on Staind's last album where the drummer gets fired in the studio for it) so they use a click.

I'm seriously stoked for this. Sounds like Mark is getting back to his roots. It also looks like the band is becoming a cohesive unit. What monsterous riffs. Damn!
